It was built in the late 1400’s with a Baroque façade with a marble staircase. Inside there are three aisles, with expanded side chapels which were added in 1722.

The right aisle contains the painting of the "Massacre of the Innocents" which has been recently attributed to Antonio Della Cornia (sec. XVII). There is also a wooden statue of St. Anna, Antonio Roasio.

In the left aisle is the painting of the "Virgin and Child with Saints Peter and Paul" attributed to Gio Raffaele Badaracco.

There are several frescos and canvases in the nave as well as the marble busts of the parish priest, Father John Gazzano (1643) and the benefactor priest Don Marco Antonio Bruno (1631).

The apse holds a fine wooden choir and the icon of "Virgin Mary and baby Jesus with Saints Peter and Paul".

The church sits on a small piazza with an interesting fountain and a cafe which offers nice people watching.

A beautiful church with ancient links to the town. Elevated over the small square, a coffee shop sits within a stones throw of the entrance. Interior is a charm in itself. The area surrounding the church is old town and a special place in itself. Love Mondovi.
