Cozy, clean, good food, small but exciting pool, off the main track..... stop in and enjoy your stay. The staff will Make you feel at home and treat you like a king, the country side will try to take you awayfrom the sea side. Try it !!!!

Back to this hotel after few (too much) years, we remembered it as a great place and we found that it is improved too. For instance they added a small "personal" spa available on reservation (and free for some days, depending on how long is your stay). Service and food at the top: I really suggest half pension treatment. Breakfast is one of the best you can find (jams and marmalade from the fruit of their garden and orchard, for instance, but there is much more ... I leave you discover it).
So it is a really great place to stay as in the central body or in the cottage like buildings in the garden.
However take care that if you are on a wheelchair or if you have walking problems it is better you ask them, because there are a lot of steps and walking through the terracing garden could be a hurdle.

Room tip: If you come following what your car nav say do NOT follow the Redinoce deviation, but go for the main street.

We went to Elba and we wanted to stay in a 5 star hotel but we saw this hotel, we had liked and went to check. This is a 3 star hotel but his friendly attitude and the nice place and everything we had got there... we are very satisfied and we think we could go back to them anytime at least for a coffee or for a week... I can absolutely recommend them to anybody.

Family owned hotel and cottages have fantastic and scenic view over the bay of Saint Andrea. You fill very welcome from the beggining. Stuff from owners to cleaning lady to waiters and waitress are polite, proffesional and very friendly and very open also to non italian speaking guests. Pets are also wellcome and are going to enjoy the same as you. Pools are nice and clean but hedonists have to try whirpool at day or in dark hours (or both).
In hilly slope there is an enjoyable and diverse garden of mediteranian plants to fulfill all your senses. Walking down the hill to the bay is timeless, such as tasting homemade fruit products of this garden at breakfast. Rooms are clean, fresh and romantic, with no agressive colours. Some wooden doors at hotel are a little bit noisy, depending of other guests behaviours. Cottages under the hotel comply with surrounding and are better choice for more intimacy and peace. Take a four course dinner if you will be at hotel in the evening. Dishes are local cousine made with homemade vegetables from garden and other local ingridients. You can always choose betwen three options, fish and see food, meat or vegetarian. Wine list is long but we prefered home wine gallo nero. Portions are rich so come hungry.
Staying in this hotel is always to short.

My wife and I enjoyed a superb 3 night stay at this beautiful location. Make sure you book the meal option as every evening was a gourmet feast. Quiet and slightly off the beaten path; walk down the hillside to the beach or take in the pristine swimming pool. Visit Elba Island and make the effort to visit this wonderful boutique hotel in Sant'Andrea.
