I stayed in dependence building. It is new and very good quality. Room had a funny bed in a corner. Main and dependence’s buildings are connected by underground corridor. Food in restaurant was very good and nice served. Very close to cross country ski track and bus stop. To Carosello we could get on foot (snowboard boots rather betterj. There is a fitness room you can find road bicycle with training device. One of the nicest hotels I’d been staying.

This hotel was a fantastic based for a group of Elite endurance athletes. Our group were Cyclist, the network for road rides across the Swiss border and into high altitude and a variety of routes to suit all requirements.
As a member of the group support staff, I truly appreciated the level of service that was given to me during my portion of the group stay. I can't thank the family enough for their care of us, during the stay, which allowed me to effectively do my job.
Our requirements for specific nutrition/ food was exceeded and the level of flexibility and understanding of daily changing meal time, was unparalleled.
This is an amazing base for any outdoor lovers and really is a beautiful part of the world. The lake mountains and numerous cycle path along the river to the lake. The hotel has fantastic bike loan by and a small spa sauna and jacuzzi for relax post outdoor activity. So all are chartered for.
On a day off we purchased a lift pass and head to appreciate the view from the mountain, along with lunch away from the hotel and a mouch around town.
I can't wait to return to Livigno "on pleasure" to explore further and no hesitation in returning to this hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering this area.

Stayed at hotel paradiso for a week during July for the half marathon (we were preparing for the race). Good structure, family managed, clean and organized. We chose the half board option and this is where I believe things can be improved.
Breakfast is well served, American style, dinner though is the problem. Maybe we were not lucky as during that specific week we had several foreign cycling teams staying at the hotel and once the bell rang (at 19.30) it was like a nightmare: they all standing at the buffet for food. Seems they were not eating for days! Moreover the vegetables were not cooked in the right was and some of the rice balls were even frozen inside.
I would recommend this hotel, not the half board though. I believe there are plenty of restaurants around where you can have better food.

Thanks for the courteous review! We are happy that the stay at our hotel went well and we apologize for some dinner disagreements. At that time our guests were also some pro cycling teams and traveling many kilometers to train in the evening, their main dishes were the vegetables. Our large and well-assorted buffet offers many types of grilled and boiles vegetables which were all reassorted.
We apologize if something may not be good with dinner but it would be better to warn us so that we can remedy it.

I have been coming to this hotel for several years now and for just as long have been recommending it to all my friends and family. Even though it is a 3 star hotel I would give it more.. the staff are all super friendly especially Riccardo and Sara who you can find at the front desk. The rooms are clean and all have great views of the mountains which surround the hotel. The spa is always clean and is a great place to go after a long day skiing.
The restaurant has to be one of my favourite parts of the hotel, the room itself is very beautiful and every night they have a different menu to chose from of the typical dishes from the Valtellina region. Not to mention their great wine list to satisfy even the most selective clients.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to come to Livigno during the winter or summer without a doubt.
We have booked this hotel for the New Year's week. It is in my preferred location in Livigno (a 2-3 km from the too crowded and busy centre, which is nonetheless reachable on foot). The hotel is situated in front of American skilifts (50m) and the shuttle bus stop. By shuttle you can reach Carosello 3000 (1 stop) or Mottolino ski area in just few minutes and it's quite comfortable. Maybe when there's snow you could take the connection from/to the American skilift to the run than goes down to the departure of Carosello, but I am not sure, so mostly skiing in is not possible.
We had booked a standard room in the older part of the hotel, the room was fine, with a small balcony and some nice views of the mountains. There's not much space in the room (17m2), but it's full of cupboards and storage space, so we managed easily to fit everything in without having to stumble on the luggage all the time. The decoration is a bit old, but everything was very clean and quite well kept. The bathroom was of good size, shower working normally and correct space for placing your toiletries. The hairdryer was not a good one (old, tube-style, warming -up too quickly), but we negotiated a replacement :).
Sleep quality was quite good, it was very hot in the room, but somehow we managed (I still prefer when it's too hot than too cold). The air was very dry, maybe something could be done for this.
Wellness centre is small, a jacuzzi, a nice new sauna, a couple of normal showers and resting space. I did use it to the full every day, as for me it's a must after skiing and I must say that the best thing about it was that mostly I was alone or with 1-3 other people there. If there was also a Turkish bath, I would say it was excellent.
Breakfasts were quite a disappointment. Coffee from a self-service machine had this "wonderful" chemical taste like most coffees from these breakfast machines (you could see the container with the coffee beans on top of the machine, but still the taste was chemical... maybe it was the milk?), after two days I couldn't look at it any more. The choice of bread was limited (one dark, one white), the same for the cheese (1 sort) and meat cuts. They were of good quality though. I haven't tried the cakes, but there were 4-5 different sorts every day, and they looked like home-made so probably sweet-teeth would be happy. There was a selection of some industrial made crackers, a fruit salad, etc. The biggest disappointment was the yoghurt. Although it was from Livigno, the yoghurt was the one packed in the plastic cups (=industrial) and the "natural" white yoghurt certainly did not have the taste of the rich Valtellina yoghurt you can taste elsewhere. You could also choose the industrial sugared "fruit" yoghurt. Breakfast problem was solved by bringing 80% of our own things :)
Dinners were much better. We had a choice among 3 first and 3 second dishes for every day and mostly they were good. The salad and vegetable buffet could be improved (some of them tasted of not much and I am a big vegetable lover, so I presume I know what I am talking about). Also, the choice for those who don't like meat or chicken was not always the biggest. But some dishes were very tasty - I still remember the excellent polenta with boletus and the sorbetto al Braulio made on request :)
The owners/managers are very warm and friendly people, they are always ready to answer your questions and make your stay memorable. And the dog is just wonderful. Unfortunately, most of the time he spent at the reception, so we couldn't socialize too much.
Wi-Fi was free and working mostly very well, in the rooms as well. There is also an underground parking space in addition to the external parking.
All in all, Hotel Paradiso is a valid choice, you can expect that you'll get what you are promised, not a 5 star paradise, but a welcoming, comfortable place in the good location for a very reasonable price.

Riguardo l’alimentazione e la colazione, crediamo che ognuno ha diritto ad avere i propri gusti e le proprie preferenze, per questo vorremmo puntualizzare alcuni dettagli rispetto alle cose dette a questo proposito.
La maggior parte degli ospiti apprezza la qualità dei prodotti della nostra colazione continentale a buffet che propone torte, marmellate, yogurt e altri latticini della latteria di Livigno, svariati tipi di brioches, panini freschi, salumi e affettati di buona qualità. Per quanto riguarda il caffè possiamo rassicurarvi senza troppi pensieri: i chicchi vengono macinati dal macchinario poco prima che venga preparato la bevanda.
Siamo felici che, nonostante non siamo riusciti a conquistarla con il buffet vegetariano, ha potuto apprezzare nostre specialità come la polenta ai funghi porcini e il sorbetto al Braulio.
I vostri appunti sulle camere ci portano a consigliarvi per il prossimo soggiorno una soluzione in suite o junior suite, dove avrete maggior spazio e comodità rispetto alle camere standard.

The hotel is situated at a quite location in Livigno although a bit far (may be few minutes walk uphill) from the main street leading to the city centre.
Also there is free public bus service available always. It is also possible to hire bike ( I was offered for free) to go around livigno.
The natural view of alps visible from hotel rooms is truly amazing and hence highly recommended for honeymoon goers, nature lovers and adventure seekers
(skiing ,trekking for example) .
Main thing I liked was the very warm and friendly behaviour ( they speak English) of the owner, receptionist and all other staffs which made my stay not only comfortable but also memorable.
The hotel has a small gym for a quick workout and good wifi connection in the entire hotel.
Food was just awesome in the hotel with lots of variety and sometimes special menus for lunch and dinner prepared by chef if informed well in advance.
