we stayed here for a week- for skiing. The hotel is pretty good , we had a suite with terrace and was plenty of space , very comfortable , very clean , with a wonderful view over the mountains. I suppose this branch was recent renovated because looked new and modern . bathroom was modern too and good equiped but with an owfull smell that keep you away. breakfast was average , good for Italy , but also average , without fresh vegetables ( tomatoes , cucumbers, salad) . There was a waiter who did some eggs in omellette or scrambelled. we also had half board and in the evening was a salad- bar pretty good , and 2 meals( by choice from a list of 4).Those meals were not very good , more or less prepaired in a hurry and not tasty. For desert there were the same cakes from the begining tillthe end ( what remains from today is good for tomorrow - seemed to be the law).
But the wors thing is that they have almost one THIEF - in personnel, who stolled from my wallet , from my backpack, from the wardrobe some not too little - money. I tried to resolve with the hotel but they didn't recognize anything.

Dear Mrs,

we are happy that you enjoyed our hotel.

Our employees over many years of work have demonstrated their honesty by returning jewelry and money forgotten in the rooms.

Perhaps your review only a reluctance, for the color of the skin or the nationality of the waitress, since even when the maid greeted kindly has never deigned to look at it or return the greeting for which it takes only a bit of education that costs little. Also with ad afrowoman how are you appoint our maid.

As he pointed out in his email, he does not even remember how much money he had in his wallet ... and they would have stolen a single 100-franc banknote leaving the second in his wallet ... as well as for the euro ... maybe he does not even remember when he spent.

In 48 years there has never been a theft at the hotel, we are proud of our staff and we have complete confidence. In the room there is also a safe, could use it.

Best regards

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of livignosnow who booked our accomdation and ski holiday. We were so happy with every detail. The staff at this hotel were excellent, they made our holiday!
We were so well cared for. My husband is gluten intolerant and everyday there was a little plate of gluten free bread and biscuits for him. The owner went out of her way to check the ingredients on each dish on the menu, they supplied gluten free pasta and even made him special off the menu dishes to accomodate him! The barman Mauritzio remembered our favourite drinks and the waitstaff especially Marie Antionetta were excellent. My husband had flu, asked the cleaner not to clean our room and he spent the day in bed. The following day she made sure she cleaned the room while we were at breakfast and changed the bedding so that he could go straight back to bed. The staff went beyond expectation, they were so helpful, kind, considerate and friendly.
We had chosen a basic room and our room was spacious and clean with lots of space for storage of our luggage. We had a balcony with a view of the Mottolino and the bottle of champagne in our room was a very nice surprise.
The hotel was within easy walking distance to our locker at Mottolino (although they did have onsight lockers which we didn't use). The main town is an easy 10 minute walk and the bus stop 2 minutes up the hill. We did use the heated pool and sauna, steam room etc which were lovely after a day on the slopes. We booked full board and dinner was delicious with traditional food such as octopus and wild boar featuring amongst the choices for dinner. The afternoon soup, pizza and snacks was lovely after an active afternoon. I do agree that some fresh fruit at breakfast would be a nice addition but breakfast was good.

The decor of the hotel is very traditional which I liked, it feels like you are in Italy and not a sterile hotel which could be anywhere in the world. This hotel is rated as a 3 star but we received 5 star treatment from every staff member.
We were sad to leave, it felt like we were leaving family.

I was very dissapointed. I ordered double room and I got one room for 5 persons. They werent able to solve their mistake. At the end of the stay I had to prove all their mistakes through emails. They werent honour at all. So please be carefull. They are not very cheap and they try to cheat...

Room tip: Don´t choose any room here

Dear Customer,
She was reserved for the family room consists of a double room with extra bed and a loft with two twin beds, a room among the most popular for families. Absolutely not Le was assigned a double room for 2 as you indicated. The quote was sent and accepted so prices knew. The price paid corresponds exactly to the service and it is not our habit to be clever as she indicates. We are sorry that you have misunderstood our offer, in fact, to meet we also made a discount on departure. Our honesty allows us to have a regular clientele that every year, reaffirms the confidence and says a thousand words.
Best regards

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bucaneve for two weeks. We are a couple who stayed in a suite and the room was perfect for our stay. Bed was comfortable and wifi worked well most of the time. We were greeted with a chilled bottle of prosecco for our room which was a nice touch. The staff did everything to help us with an early check in due to us being sick on day of arrival. Breakfast was plentiful and good variety with eggs and bacon cooked to your liking. The atmosphere in the late afternoon after a day on the mountain was fantastic and is what sets this hotel apart from others in the area...they do a wonderful spread of hot and cold foods from 4.30pm to 6.30pm while you have a drink at the bar. Local cheeses, breads, salami, delicious cakes, salads, yoghurt, fruit, pizza bites and a different soup each day, with the best part being the slow cooked meat on the bone in a wonderful sauce, or pork sausages in a rich home cooked broth. The drinks are cheap compared to other establishments, for example a glass of white wine was 2.50 euro. We had dinner at the restaurant once and it was a four course meal for 15 euro per person which was exceptional. Staff are friendly, especially the barman, Mauritzio, who was lively, happy and at all times remembered how we liked our drinks. The hotel is warm and comfortable and feels like a home away from home. We were very impressed. The owner runs a tight ship and is always present to ensure things run smoothly and in accordance with customers wishes. I would definitely stay again and I have stayed in quite a few places in Livigno which have been four stars and this hotel, although rated three stars, competes well.

Room tip: Suites are worth the price for a little extra space
