This was a very enjoyable stay in Tuscany. My wife and I stayed on the top floor in the suite. It was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. As you would find in most hotels like this the shower is very small (and why is there NEVER anywhere to put you shampoo/shower gel?). The view out of the back over the hills was beautifull.
The staff were extremely helpfull and friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The food was good but unusual at times (they really skimp on the veg in Italy don't they?) ie a large piece of beef with a few beans and some gravy.

Down at the beach was a little disappointing though. Although the sea was warm and clean the public beach was just a strip about 20 metres wide going down to the sea which was obviously quite busy as the private beaches charge around 15 Euro's a day for their facilities!

There are plenty of nice resurants and bars along the sea front which has recently been modernised and is very clean.

Overall an enjoyable stay in a beautiful hotel.

This is our 7th stay at Clubv i Pini. We've written before about how wonderul it is - the location, the gardens, the updated rooms, the al-fresco dining, the WINE LIST.... and nothing has changed. Just wonderful.

This year for the first time we visited in July - usually one of the 2 very buys months for Lido di Camaiore and the Versilia Coast in general. we were NOT looking forward to the parking. But as always, Claudio and his great staff have even come up with a solution for that!

Excellent as always and we can HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

Wishing to spend a couple of nights on the Tuscan coast (we live half an hour from Florence) and to catch the last of the Italian sunshine this year, we contacted the hotel directly and booked for two nights, a room with a balcony - number 20 on the top floor - spacious and very clean. Friendly greetings all round when we arrived, superb dinner served outside in the charming garden, (decided to eat at the hotel based on the great reviews here on Trip Advisor and we were certainly not disappointed - 25Euro a head excluding wine, best pasta we had eaten in a long time and fresh fish with the most delicious vegetables), plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast, felt so at home that we decided to stay a third night! Some people may wish to be closer to the sea, but we actually loved the fact we were a short five minute stroll away - in high season the promenade is very busy (even in September there are still quite a few visitors to the area), whereas being just that short distance away is way more relaxing and peaceful. We walked for 2 hours along the beach before breakfast the first morning. Yes, most beaches are private and we paid $13 Euro total for our space. Not a high price considering how clean and organised everything is! The nearby free beach just didn't seem as welcoming. One point I read in a previous article is how not all rooms at Hotel Club i Pini have a bathroom. I was worried by this and therefore we called the hotel directly to book. In fact just one room on the ground floor has a separate bathroom next door to the room, but still private! The photos on the hotel's web site do not do it justice, the decor is charming and homely. I like the fact the reception area is on the lower ground floor which means you do not have to go through there to enter and exit the hotel. All in all, a great experience and we were sad to leave. As other people have already said - it is a place you will want to return to again and again! We'll be back!

This lovely former villa of a renowned artist was our home for 3 nights in July. The rooms were lovely, clean and very comfortable.
Dining al fresco is always a delight, and with the high quality of food that was served at both dinner and breakfast, was a rare treat. The only drawback was that we did not know that we could access one of the beach clubs and went instead to the very narrow and crowded public area. We enjoyed being among people from many different places ands somehow didn't feel like tourists while we were here. We'll be back, to be sure!

The Hotel is located in a quiet residential area of Lido di Camaiore – a few blocks away from the sea front. Nearest station is Viareggio (€15.00 by taxi). Parking at the hotel is possible for a charge of €10.00 per day.

Originally the private residence of the artist Chini who was a friend of Puccini this Liberty style villa has been converted to a family run hotel. Without exception all the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

There are a variety of rooms ranging from singles to larger ones for families. Not all are en suite. Recent improvements include air conditioning and security safes in the simply furnished bedrooms.

The public areas are well maintained and contain many of the paintings and artefacts of Chini.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the tranquil garden (weather permitting). Continental breakfast has a good selection.
Dinner is an occasion – not formal but a gastronomic feast. Always 4 courses, anti pasta, primo and secondo piatti, insalate and dessert. The owner, Claudio, is a qualified sommelier and delights in recommending wines from his well stocked cellar to accompany the food.

A bottle of Amarone (€80.00) will be long remembered!

Other facilities provided for guests are free internet access, use of bicycles, use of a local gym and access to a bathing establishment (bagno). The beach has clean soft sand and the sea water (in July) was warm and clean.

The location is ideal as a base to explore this part of Tuscany. Travel by public transport to Florence, Pisa, Viareggio, Torre del Lago (Puccini), Lucca and Forte Dei Marmi is easy and cheap.

Overall a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploration or just relaxing on the beach.
