Visited here last night. The most warm welcome is given by the proprietor, family and staff. The first delight were the snacks delivered to the table, breads, snacks, dips and pickles, all made from ingredients from their farm. Advice was sought on a glass of local red wine, bold and spicey and that was exactly what was served. The starter a grilled mackerel salad, followed by homemade pumpkin and mint soup, superb!! The next a fish course, beautifully cooked Trigger fish and vegetables. The meat main was a superb piece of rare beef and the vegetarian option delivered deep fried courgette seasoned beautifully along with a selection of vegetables. The highlight was the blackberry ice cream, this tasted like Cornish clotted cream and blackberry, just divine. Total cost 85 euros worth every penny. Please do go and enjoy this wonderful experience.

6 course meal was incredible and for 4 of us with a bottle of wine $170 US. Nice and personable. Saw some outside tables which would have been very nice!

Absolute recommendation. Call at the beginning of your vacation to get a table. It will be a lovely evening

Food: almost everything is home-made and locally sourced. I came with my wife and loved the food. Absolutely brilliant fish and roast beef. Everything was perfectly matched

Atmosphere: it‘s a family business with a super friendly and cozy atmosphere. The owner introduced himself to all guests and small talked with us. Enjoyed it very much

Service: very friendly service, but a little more attention to detail would be recommendable (asked twice for the wine menu + three times fore a wine cooler)

Value for money: we paid 40€ each per menu + 20€ for a bottle of whine + tip. It‘s a bit more pricey than other location but value for money is given

Make sure to book a reservation here! At 40 euros per person for a 5 course tasting menu that was delicious and all from their local farm. Make sure to bring cash (and extra for wine :) ). Great experience and so happy we reserved a table!

We had a fantastic and delicious dinner. They were very accommodating to our dietary requests, and also accommodating to anything we needed to keep our two-year-old from causing too much trouble. The food was phenomenal, interesting, thoughtful, well-plated. The restaurant itself is cute, and it really feels like you are eating a home-cooked meal from the hosts. A lovely and wonderful experience, and our best meal in the entire Azores.
