We ordered lapas, which are interesting but a bit rubbery, a local seafood. The beef steak was very good and comes with beef juices and lots of garlic. Highly recommend. The pork steak tasted like cod, it was not good. The service was friendly and local wine both white and red were great.

The restaurant had an upscale atmosphere but the the staff were very friendly and down to earth. Good wine selection. We shared the grilled octopus and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

We stayed at a nearby resort/hotel and asked the concierge for a recommendation! Dinner was delicious! In particular, the tuna was melt in your mouth spectacular! The chef's father was working the front of the house and was quite adept with English making us feel warmly welcomed on our first evening in unfamiliar territory! Highly recommend!!

Our friends ate here during their vacation last year and were so impressed insisted on bringing us this year. Everything was delicious! Liver bites were perfectly prepared and we sopped up the juice with bread. Octopus was tender. Each entree ordered was better than the next. Including the bottle of wine. Then we topped it off with cheesecake served with wild berries and chocolate surprise flan. U will not leave hungry or disappointed!!!

Great place, great service, great food!
We ordered the fish of the day (parrot fish); sirloin steak; cod; octopus and chicken/turkey -- all were delicious and the portions were filling.
Ended with coffee and dessert - could not go wrong with anything on the menu.
Staff were very friendly and polite.
It's about a 15 min drive from Ponta Delgada- well worth the drive.
Will not hesitate in going back.
