We daytripped by boat to Lerici from the Cinque Terre through Portovenere (not an easy thing to do). The city itself is very busy but we were rewarded with a wonderful lunch at Siamo Fritti. This is pretty much a take away place, the Italian version of fast food. However we managed to snag one of the very few tables. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife. They cook all kinds of fried seafood, served fresh and hot. We ordered a large platter of fried fish misti that included mussels, shrimp, fried anchovy and very tiny whole fish that I can not name. We also ordered fried artichoke and mozarella. Along with our half litre of vino bianco, our bill was an amazing 23 euro! Lots of locals here, not much English spoken, but the menu is easy to understand. Take an order down to a shady spot on the harbour. It's well worth it!
