This square was quite close to our hotel so we walked through it when we wanted to get almost anywhere. There are shops and restaurants, the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater, and a column erected in honor of St. Oronzo, the patron saint of Lecce. It is a busy place with people from all over the world there.
