Very happy with the hotel!!!! The service was superb, people at the reception accommodated me and my son and allowed him to have his day nap longer than the check out time. The rooms were cosy and cute. Really cannot say anything negative. Thanks a lot

Pros: location, although they have parking slot with daily cost, they help to find free spots, bed and pillow comfortable, perfect breakfast, helpful and smiling staff.

Cons: between the sea and the hotel there is a gas station, in day time it really smells gas if you leave the balcony door open. Bathroom smells bad if you power off it's air conditioning but it works very loud.

A great hotel in a perfect location.
That is only the start. The real pleasure of this place lies with the staff that run the place, they are quite honestly the friendlies people we have come across for many a year. It particular the girls that run the restaurant are outstanding and a credit to the hotel.
From the outside the hotel is quite understated, however walk in and it is a different view, from the beautiful mosaic lobby, to our very well appointed room, it is a very classy outlook. The beds were superb, bathroom very roomy with a great shower.
We were lucky to have a sea view and small balcony, excellent for an early evening sit.
In all a quality establishment, well worth a visit.
Go there.

Room tip: room 14, beautiful with balcony and sea view

We stayed here for 5 nights and just loved it. The hotel is centrally located in the REAL town, instead of Hotel Row in the Recanati area. The bus to Taormina stops right across the street and costs 1.70 Euros. You can usually buy a ticket right on the bus or at a Tobacco shop a block away and the trip takes about 15 scenic minutes.

All the staff speak English and are helpful and kind, so much so that we had to hug Roberta, the desk clerk, when we left. And I don't believe I have ever been drawn to hug a Hotel desk staff person before! The rooms are all decorated differently (like a B&B) and most seem to have an ocean view and at least a French balcony. Our room was large with a comfortable bed (firm but not hard) and had an unusually large shower for Italy (it was more American sized). There is a small elevator, if you are mobility challenged, or you can take the stairs. If you don't feel like crossing the street to go to the beach, you can sunbathe on the small rooftop deck, reached by a spiral staircase in the restaurant, and be served drinks and snacks there as well.

Then, let's talk food. Yum. Buffet breakfast in a sunny room on the 3rd floor, facing the sea, included several different kinds of homemade cakes, tarts, cookies and croissants, several cheeses and cold cuts, some form of egg dish that varied daily (hard boiled, egg and potato tart, etc.), and then you could also order scrambled eggs at no extra cost. Once you sit down, the waitress takes your coffee order for espressos, cappuccinos, etc. or you can pour yourself a cup of regular coffee or tea or juice. Everything is fresh and good.

Dinner is usually served in the 4th floor restaurant, which is a covered patio with sea views. I understand they serve in the 3rd floor breakfast room if weather is bad - but we had glorious sun all 5 days. The menu varies from day to day depending on what is freshest in the market - they seem to be part of the Slow Food movement (buy local, organic, and cook it beautifully) and there are a lot of fish dishes, which is typical of Sicilian cooking. TripAdvisor rates their restaurant as #3 in town but we rate it #1. The number 1 restaurant, A Putia, had a sign in the window stating they were closed indefinitely. We then ate at #2 restaurant L'Aquaria, which was good but nobody spoke English to help us with the menu or wine list. We were in Sicily for a month and some of the best food we ate was here at the Palladio. Ciao, Clara, I gained 10 pounds thanks to you, and I don't regret it. So, back home now and off to the gym!

This was our fifth year at Hotel Palladio, Giardini Naxos, in our opinion the best hotel in the world. The location right on the seafront on the historical Bay of Naxos is absolutely stunning . From the fourth floor terrace where meals are served one is looking down rather than looking out at the sea, it is so close. Add the excellent transport connections of the bus stop across the road and the railway station about twenty minutes walk up the promenade, the fantastic traditional Sicilian cooking, the wonderfully cheerful and hard-working staff, the most comfortable differently coloured bedrooms, the art galley
ambiance, and you have a gem.
