Review of Hotel Bijou
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 9 Jul 2018
The hotel was quite nice but isolated in a residential neighborhood that was not near anything! One had to walk to either the beach or the town (the latter ~ 20 blocks away). They had bicycles but asked for rental fee rather than offering them as an amenity to guests. The room was fine and the breakfast quite elegant & plentiful. The husband and wife team that own the property were both nice but were clearly not local Italian folk. I would prefer to stay in a more centrally located Italian place.

What a beautiful family run hotel.
Very clean rooms ,fabulous terrace breakfast and very helpful dedicated staff happy to help and happy in their work ( can only coment on breakfast couple who took such pride in their very well presented offering ,as it was too late to eat evening meal when I arrived at 10 pm ) I loved my one night stay ! It has lots of little touches that show the owner cares .... so nice I’m planning to go back very soon ! Bicycles outside for guests to use, handy as it in a quite suburb and a little walk from the front .

I stayed in this hotel in July 2017. The hotel itself is very charming and cosy! Very delicious breakfast at the beautiful terrace!
But what is most important, the service is very personalised, I forgot my clothes and money in the room and went to France. When I emailed them, they have sent me all and money clothes via post!
Definetly will come back!

forte is not the cheapest place so a 4-star hotel ends up costing almost twice as much as anywhere else. bikes are not included but breakfast was good for italian standards. the quiet sorroundings were a pleasant surprise. however, dont expect that welcoming atmosphere you may get somewhere else in italy: forte lives in its own bubble.

We spent a few nights here and it was great fun. Marisia and her husband Giovanni are real characters as is Danelo (not sure of spelling) who was on reception in the evenings. The rooms are nicely furnished if a bit small but everything was very clean and the bedroom terraces are huge with sunbeds and even a private jaccuzzi on the roof.
Breakfast buffet contained the usual fare and omelettes and other egg dishes available to order.
All in all, a reasonably priced option in a very upmarket resort.
