This is a boutique hotel deserving a good 3 stars in Forte dei Marmi which is a relatively a well to do town with many private villas. The beach is very long and sandy and the sea is quite shallow for a long distance. Hotel is around 15 minutes walk to the beach and a little more to the town centre. There is parking space available on the hotel grounds. WiFi was free but rather slow and at times not working at all.
We had a junior suite on the top (fourth) floor of the hotel. The lift operated only to the third floor and we had to use the stairs to go to our suite. It was of good size, clean with a double bed. There was a large safe, mini bar, writing desk, sofa and large TV. Tea making facility and room slippers were provided.
Bathroom was clean and large with toilet and bidet but only a hand shower. It took a while for the hot water to reach the bathroom. There was a makeup mirror and a hair dryer. Bathroom amenities were sufficient and of good quality.
The was air-conditioning in the suite and although a little noisy worked well.
Bicycles were available for going to town or the beach for 10 Euros per day.
Buffet breakfast was better than basic with fresh fruits and a variety of cheese and jams.
Lucca is a town relatively near and well worth a visit.
