5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Jul 2019via mobile
This place is awesome, the hotel is super clean super cute and well located, but the reason this place is awesome is the staff.

Everyone is trying to make your stay better, they are always offering to help or asking if you need anything.

I definitely will be back.

Having spent 3 mad days sightseeing in Rome in 30+ heat our family of four travelled to The Logos Hotel and had the most wonderful relaxing 7 days. The hotel itself had a lovely view of the mountains and a short stroll to the beach and beach clubs. It was clean and tidy and the maids cleaned and changed the towels twice daily. The food was varied and although the menu was set the chef was very accommodating and even made us burgers one evening and breakfasts were plentiful. The outside pool area was tranquil and a god send in the heat for a welcoming dip and the seating areas with the home grown lemon trees (which produced the best lemoncello) were a pleasure to sit in either with a drink or evening meal or breakfast. The hotel was peaceful and either a great base to explore the region from or to chill as we did. I have to say the staff were the best we have ever encountered nothing was too much trouble from the receptionists, waiting staff, maids and maintenance guys all their duties done with a smile. A special mention has to go to Eliza who was a breath of fresh air – friendly efficient and went above and beyond the call of duty at all times. She quite simply was lovely and made our stay even more pleasurable. We love Italy and would definitely visit this hotel again. Thank you.

Good location, close to the beach. Quiet and clean, our room was rather small, luckily we didn't have much luggage. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom: one of the smallest I've ever seen, only fitting one person a time.

Mixed bag. Nice place, slightly on the side of Forte dei Marmi. Very strange smell in the hall upon arrival, but it was gone the next morning. Rooms not in line with what we booked, but the person at the reception found a way to satisfy our needs. Room very basic for a 4* hotel. Bed made of stone. Bed in the other room much better. Very limited breakfast, but what was available ended up being good. Most equipment already closed for winter, but the hotel ended up lending us good bicycles. All in all not bad as such, but it is sad to have to write a "but" for each point mentioned in a hotel review. Hence my ranking

We stayed for two weeks arriving on 9 September. The hotel is quite small (only 38 rooms) in a nice peaceful location only a short walk from the beach and about 30 minutes walk from the town centre.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, beds changed every 3 days and towels daily.

On the downside there was no "holiday atmosphere" at all in this hotel. We had turndown service during the first week but this stopped in the second week. The rooms are adequate but for what we paid for our holiday not really value for money.

We had a half board package which included dinner and again were disappointed. The menu had approx. 3 or 4 choices for each course but for the whole of our stay each night we were presented with the same menu. Other guests were on the same package and like us dined out on several occasions not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. On at least two we were the only two guests in the restaurant. The Restaurant was not at all welcoming, there were plenty of tables but only about 6 laid for dinner. Sometimes the lights at one end of the room were switched off and again like the hotel in general no atmosphere.

During our second week a group of German tourists arrived and had a set menu. This is the only time were we offered a different menu and it was sold to us as the "hotel are trying out new dishes and would we like to choose something from the menu". Personally, I think the chef couldn't be bothered to cook us separate meals.

However, the staff in the restaurant are excellent.

Overall, we felt like we were staying in the last chance saloon with the hotel winding down for the season. The beaches were all closed as were many of the restaurants.

Forte dei Marmi is a very overrated and expensive resort as was the hotel. The only plus it was quiet, but sadly we will not return.

Room tip: Choose a side room to avoid the traffic noise from the street.

We spent two weeks at the Logos recently and were disappointed with the experience overall. Our room was on the second floor, spotlessly clean with a handy balcony. This provided adequate shelter from the rain ! Towels changed daily. Housekeeping excellent. The pool area clean and attractive as was the hotel in general. We hired bikes from the hotel (which were good value), three times and travelled the promenade easily. Our main concern was both reception and the restaurant. There was no atmosphere in either. The TV wasn't on at all in the two weeks (not that we came for that - and no UK channel on the room TV either), and the piano remained unplayed for the same length of time. I realise this was September and close to end of season but we felt the hotel was running down to seasonal closure almost on purpose. The restaurant and menu has a serious problem however. This also provides no atmosphere, the decoration such as it is is cold and uninviting and could do with a visit from Alex Polizzi to be honest. Had it not been for a party of German holidaymakers arrive during our stay then the menu each evening would have been exactly the same for the entire two weeks. There were choices admittedly but the menu never changed once. The arrival of the coach party prompted a slight change to the monotonous menu by our being offered on occasion (when it suited I think) something different, but surely even at end of season this isn't the way forward is it ? We actually ate out three times even though we were half board.. It seems the hotel are trying to do away with half board and rely solely on B and B basis for the future. I have to say that the restaurant staff were superb, especially Sebastiano, Yisse and Eliza. 10 out of 10 to them from us.
Restaurants outside the hotel are expensive, as is almost everything else in Forte. Great if you love fish I guess but Italian pasta dishes well off most menus for some odd reason.
Taxi fares to Viarreggio, local station etc grossly expensive. Better to go by bike if you can !!. Pietrasanta a much better resort with reasonably priced bars and restaurants. We had two cocktails there for 5 euros each. 12 euros upwards on average everywhere else.
I admit the weather we had didn't help but I can honestly say this is a fair and unbiased review. The Logos must do something about the meals in the evening and decor in the restaurant. It is a lovely hotel, small and very quiet which is excellent. Limited cupboard space in the Classic Double room but that's just a minor point really.
Have seen and done the Tuscan coast now. Would be over generous to recommend.

Room tip: Ask for second floor with balcony. We had side view. Nice and quiet
