It was quite disappointing when we arrived in Civecchia to the hotel. My husband pick this hotel for the proximity of the hotel to the cruise ship and the 5 star rating.
Staff were not aware of the area saying they were not from here so we’re left to figure out what restaurant were available and what there was to see.
The hotel front was nice but once in you knew that it was not updated.
Rooms were small and dark. We got bed bug bite. The hotel restaurant was not available.
Staff seem confused on dealing with the size of people going on cruise ship considering it was the end of season so it was less crowded

This hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the sea front, near to bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and the main attractions of the town. The staff are friendly and our room was clean and comfortable, with good mattresses, if a litttle small.
However, there is a sad sense of penny pinching: the hotel seemed understaffed and breakfast, while generous, was heavy on cakes and pastries and light on fruit. Plastic cups instead of glasses for fruit juice were very disappointing, and the coffee was rarely hot and not of good quality. Bottled water was provided in the rooms at a charge, but only 2 small bottles, one still and one fizzy, which seemed inadequate.
There is secure parking for 10€ daily.
There is disabled access, but it would be difficult to manage alone as the doors both to the hotel and to the wheelchair lift are very heavy.

Room Tip: The sea view is worth paying extra for.

We used the hotel prior to a cruise. Nice bistro on site. All staff spoke pretty good English. Communication prior to arrival was great. Check in and out was smooth. Free WiFi and breakfast. Free shuttle to port. Sign up for the 11am transfer. Easy to walk to many restaurants. Only complaint is a hard European bed. The rooms were beautiful. We got a great price online. I’d stay here again.

Nice old styled classic hotel with good service and spacious rooms with a central location to the city center. The receptions gave us a good tip for a dinner place for the evening, and the breakfast served in the morning was well prepared and good. A plus for the Norwegian talking receptionist that checked me out at the morning.

I booked and paid for this hotel and cruise parking August 17 for a visit in May 18. Immediately after the booking, I changed the date to the following day. We exchanged several emails confirming the booking and the dates, the last of which was 16th April. 25th April I received an email saying they were overbooked and had to cancel my booking. They offered another hotel or a refund. I chose a refund, it took them 4 weeks to refund my credit card. I know these things happen, but I checked on booking.com a couple of days after they cancelled and they were offering a couple of rooms at €700+.
Looking through the reviews on trip advisor, cancelling early bookings happens at this hotel quite a lot. Beware.
