We stayed here for a week with our two year old son and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment is on Via Bordonaro, in the heart of the old town and a couple of minutes walk to the smaller beach, ten minutes to the larger beach and two minutes to the main square. There are great restaurants just across the road with terraces overlooking the sea. There is a little noise in the evening - not loud music, just general hubbub - but we quite liked that as you can sit on the terrace and feel like you are in the town. It never went on late but was a little louder on Saturday night.
The terrace of the apartment is much bigger than it looks in the photos, get plenty of sun and has views of the Rocca, the sea and the cathedral. We would say that the location is about perfect for Cefalu.
The stairs up to the apartment (it is on the third floor) are very steep and would not be good for small kids or anyone unsteady on their feet in any way. The apartment itself is quite basic, small fridge, hob only, no grill or oven, no kettle, no basic foodstuffs (salt, pepper, coffee) left. The utensils are limited and quite poor. The chairs are uncomfortable, particularly on the patio and the sofa bed is unusable (we put our 2 yr old in the bedroom and dragged out the mattresses from there every night). The bathroom is basic but perfectly usable.
However, we thought it was good value for money and if you want somewhere in a fantastic location and are happy that it will not be luxurious, we would heartily recommend.
