We are so happy that we chose Hotel la Genzianella for our recent holiday as it is perfect in every way.
More than a hotel, it really felt like a warm & inviting home away from home and one we loved returning to at the end of our busy days.
Everyone was friendly, kind and helpful and all staff members were very service oriented.
As others have mentioned, the food is really a highlight with delicious breakfasts & dinners daily. The bar area is also very cozy and comfortable for drinks throughout the day. Lovely touches are seen all over the property, games for children, books to borrow, backpacks for hiking trips, real candles lit every evening & gorgeous alpine decor.
This elegant & charming hotel truly deserves all the glowing reviews that it receives and I highly recommend a stay here. We hope to return very soon!

We booked at La Genzianella because it was recommended to us by Megan from Bella Vita Travels and it certainly did not disappoint.

Firstly, the hotel is well located in the centre of Bormio and importantly, the rooms and public spaces are kept exceptionally clean with very stylish touches. We loved our room (travelling with 2 adullts, 2 kids plus another family) as we had separate bedrooms and a lovely big modern bathroom.

The highlight of our stay was the food. It was exceptional. We had booked "mezza pensione" (breakfast and dinner included) and every single night at dinner, and then every single morning at breakfast, we would comment on how amazing the food was. Quality food (think 5 star PLUS PLUS PLUS), wonderful service and they catered to families brilliantly. Our kids also participated in the local mountain bike school campus which was great.
