I was born and raised in Valtellina and have had the local pizzoccheri and sciatt in literally dozens of restaurants and as many homes of family and friends. Eira's offering are right up there in the top 5%, and undoubtedly the best of half a dozen we tried in Bormio.
We followed the owner's recommendation and tried samplers of the daily specials... a feast for the senses with some very clever variations of the usual traditional fare, and some unusual local delights.
Pleasant enough ambiance with stunning views. So popular with the locals you may have to put up with some noisy Italian mealtime cheerfulness.... so not for a quiet romantic dinner.... but top of the tops cuisine and local color.
