Description: The Chesal 1805 Bar and Restaurant is located on the pistes of Melezet, in Bardonecchia, a beautiful village in the upper Val di Susa and is a popular tourist destination in both winter and summer. It is in the heart of the Melezet ski area, situated at the top of the chairlift and is only a short distance from the Snowpark, completely renovated and extended, Chesal 1805 is the ideal place to stop by and enjoy a break from skiing, for some relaxation in the sun or for some entertainment for children. Originaly the departure station for the Selletta ski lift, today the Chesal restaurant is completely renewed, expanded and re-modernised. Along with the bar and the self-service an "a la carte" restaurant has also been added where you will find beautifully finished trims, large windows framing the Guglia Rossa and the Valle Stretta and terraces on which you can soak up the sun, perhaps after a descent on the pistes. The perfect place to satisfy the needs of those who are looking for a quick but flavourful snack at the bar, or for lunch at the self service or the restaurant, combining traditional cuisine from Val di Susa with innovative and appetizing recipes. The interior has been decorated with wood features that recreate the atmosphere of an exclusive mountain chalet with prestige details and opens onto a wall with large windows that offer stunning views of the area. The entrance has been set-up with a chill out area for relaxing informally just off the pistes. The whole building is equipped with free Wi-Fi, there is a mobile phone charging area and a larges games area, where both adults and children can have fun with the different games that are available. We are waiting for you; for lunch, a pleasant break, a romantic dinner or a special event, we will be happy to welcome you into a warm and exclusive ambience and delight you with typical dishes from out mountain.

Looking forward to my bowl of Polenta......... but cold and very lumpy. Was so looking forward to it as the rest of Chesal is very good indeed but the self service was a cold and soulless let down. Sorry Chesal but I should have eaten in the main area not the self service.

Thank Alan C

Conveniently located mid way between Campo Smith and Melezet so this became our morning coffee stop. Plenty of places to put your skis.

There is a lift you can use to go downstairs to the loos if you really can't face the steps.

A bit confusing that you go to one counter to pay for your drinks and snacks then queue again to collect what you ordered. More tricky if you want food as that is displayed where you collect it from so you walk backwards and forwards!

Our friends had some of the hot snack sandwiches and said they weren't the best, we only had drinks and they were fine. W didn't eat in the restaurant bit but it looked nice.

Quite a bit of seating inside and outside

This is an excellent restaurant located on the piste. We have stopped here many times and can't knock it. They have a very good range of food. One side is cade style and the other a restaurant. They have plenty of seating both inside and out and vestigial scenery to go with it. The cakes are amazing!!!

Stunning views from the terrace.
The food is not too expensive. The drinks are the same.
It's a welcome break in a busy area of the piste.
