My wife and I have stayed at the Campagnola several times, each time enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable accomodations. An updated review is nessecitated by major changes in the hotel. Gregorio and his father, the owners, have transformed the Campagnola into a first rate property on Lake Garda. They have added another building of modern rooms, much like a boutique hotel. The new rooms are very up-to-date and include wonderful bathroom facilities. The new rooms are more expensive than the original rooms, but I felt that they were worth the difference. Alternatively, the original rooms are quite comfortable and an excellent value.
A fine breakfast is served on an outside terrace or inside. Bicycles are available for a charge and there is a path along the lake for riding either north to Garda or south to Lazise. After a biwhee ride there is a wonderful garden where you can relax of loungers. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a highly recommended facility.

Room Tip: The new wing

We originally stayed at the Hotel Campagnola some years ago and promised ourselves that we would go back. We have just returned from a four day visit and can confirm that the hotel remains a gem. It has been expanded with the addition of a new block of rooms, an updated and enlarged reception area and a lovely swimming pool.
The welcome is friendly and efficient, the room we had overlooking the lake (in the original building) was clean, very comfortable and provided all we required. The breakfast buffet can be a bit of a bun fight getting to the coffee machine but apart from that it provides a wide variety of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, bread etc. Sunday also has Prosecco and smoked salmon.
The grounds are beautifully kept, there are ample sunbeds scattered throughout all with a view over the lake. The reception/bar will provide you with coffee or cold drinks throughout the day and the rooms come equipped with a basket containing towels for swimming or just lounging about.
This is a family run hotel and everyone we met from the owner and his family to the cleaners and the staff who prepared and served the breakfast were efficient but more importantly always friendly and welcoming.
The hotel will (and did) arrange transfers to and from Verona airport - another nice touch which added to the overall experience.

When we next visit Lake Garda we will be looking to stay once again at the Hotel Campagnola.

Room Tip: In the original building there are two ground floor and two first floor rooms which directly overlook the gardens and the lake.

Spent 3 nights here in a beautiful setting on lake. Nice yard area with loungers facing lake. Breakfast had a large number of good choices including eggs, pastries , and breads.
Best part was the ever helpful front desk where Gregorio, the owner, gave us great advice on off the beaten track restaurants and things to do.
Room was good size. Rooms on street side were a bit noisy, but.it was tolerable.

We stayed at the Campagnola at the end of August 2015 for a week. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hotel is a very comfortable, family-run establishment. The room was well furnished, clean and spacious. We had a balcony with lake side view and the air conditioning was excellent in view of the very hot weather (always above 32 centigrade!). The hotel had arranged transport for us from Verona airport there and back so that the journey was hassle free. The welcome from the staff was warm and welcoming. It is invidious to mention individuals but Claudia and Gregorio did everything possible to make us welcome. They recommended restaurants - all of which we enjoyed (sometimes twice!).
The pretty grounds were well kept with loungers and parasols for guests. Breakfast was a continental buffet with a wide choice of offerings. The small bar was available for drinks and snacks.
The position on the lake side was ideal with a short walk into Bardolino town or to Cisano
We can thoroughly recommend the Campagnola in every way.

My husband and I recently spent 3 days at the Hotel Campagnola and were very impressed with the location, the staff and the standards maintained in this lovely small hotel. We felt very comfortable in our room which was very clean and well appointed, with balcony and air conditioning. The garden of the hotel faces onto the walkway / cycle way leading to Bardolino just a few minutes pleasant walk away and it was so relaxing to recline on the well padded wooden steamer chairs facing the lake and enjoy the soft breeze coming off the water. We must mention Claudia on reception who responded very promptly to my email booking requests and was very helpful on our arrival via the airport shuttle from Verona which the hotel had arranged for us. We must mention Gregorio, the young owner who could not have been more hospitable, friendly and helpful. We visited all the restaurants that he recommended and even went to one of the twice. We would return to this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks Gregorio!

Room Tip: I think there are about four rooms on the front facing the lake but I don't think it matters as the garden is very accessible.
