The hotel I situated in just the right place and the amenities, food and staff are fantastic. The only downside are the rooms look very very dated.

The pool area doesn't match the room décor as the outside of your room the hotel transforms.

This would get a 5 from me if they updated the rooms.

Room Tip: I don't think any of the rooms have a nice view. The pool area is very nice but again no rooms over look it. Shame really.

We stayed at the Parc Hotel Gritti from 27th August to 3rd September. We were very lucky in that we got a free upgrade to one of the new refurbished rooms. That saved me 400 euros on the usual upgrade price!! It's a really good hotel and all the staff were really friendly and the bedroom was kept very clean and our cleaning lady certainly earned the tip we gave her.
There is all you could want for breakfast and they use 2 rooms and only one has an egg station, so go to the bigger room if you want an omelette or fried eggs.
The pool is quite big and there was never any trouble getting a sunbed, however you still got really sad people putting towels on the sunbeds and not coming to them for 3-4 hours!!! I would be happy to volunteer to be the sunbed monitor and chuck towels off sunbeds if no-one there after 1 hour!!!
The new rooms are great with good walk in shower with 5 jets of water hitting you. That wakes you up in the morning!!
The hotel is on the lake and there is a restaurant as soon as you come out the back of the hotel which sits on the lake and is open until early evening. it is a great place for lunch. The main town is about a 400 yard walk and full with restaurants and bars and they are all really lively and busy. Quite a lot of the restaurants are full by 7pm so get there early if you have a favourite restaurant. Our favourite was "Memo"
It's easy to get around the lake once you understand the timetable. (Don't try to understand it after a drink!!) We went to Garda and Desenzano. Desenzano was a mistake. We should have gone to Sirmione as it looked far more lively.
I would definitely go back to Lake Garda and would also be very happy to stay at the Parc Hotel Gritti again

Hotel in a brilliant position, a short walk through the grounds and through the gate , onto the side of Lake Garda. The public areas of the Hotel are well kept and the staff are polite and helpful. Our bedroom was basic, very clean but in need of updating with a very small bathroom but to be fair we made a late decision to stay there so had no choice of room. We were given a bottle of water each day to use with the teamaking facilitiseThe balcony was a reasonable size but the only view was a very large palm tree. The air conditioning was brilliant for NO extra charge. Rooms are being updated so I guess we were the unlucky latecomers. Despite the downside we had a wonderful holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for upgrade with a scenic or lake view-but it is chargeable

Close to the center of Bardolino and with direct access to the lake, the Gritti is favorably situated.
Unfortunately, the Hotel is in a quite basic state. Also rooms which are internally renovated are -from the outside - in a miserable condition. (flawed windows)
The service is average and one gets the overall impression, that the company mission is rather profitable business than customer satisfaction.

Room Tip: The room must have a balcony

Fantastic location very close to the centre of Bardolino. We stayed in a superior room with a balcony. The bathroom was brilliant with a fantastic shower system and the room service was faultless with our towels changed twice a day and lovely toiletries replaced when necessary. Reception staff were courteous and check in was smooth. We arrived early but were given pool towel vouchers so we could use the pool whilst we waited. As we had a superior room we were given complimentary soft drinks in the room fridge throughout our stay plus a bottle of wine on the first day.
Breakfast was adequate but could be improved upon by adding another hot drink machine as there was always a queue. The food was the same each morning. We found the waiters polite and efficient.
The pool area is lovely with sunbeds and a pool/grill bar. However the same selfish people reserved their sunbeds in prime positions early each morning and then not use them until later in the afternoon. There is a sign telling guests not to do this as towels will be removed...they never were. Consequently it was hit and miss to get a sunbed when you went to the pool in the afternoon.
If you stay at this hotel try to get a 3rd floor room. We were on the 2nd floor and the noise above was terrible very late at night. The rooms above were not carpeted so every noise could be heard!
Overall we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would return if we stayed in a top floor room, the sunbed situation is sorted and the breakfast standard improved.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms are quieter
