It is a bit difficult to find, because it is an apartment and not a hotel.

My tip is that the apartment entrance is between a Supermercato and a Macelleria and Panetteria. If you are traveling SE and you get to the traffic circle you went to far. Parking can be a problem.

The view from this apartment of the temples is amazing, especially at night. Our hosts were extremely friendly and the breakfast they provided was fantastic, everyone likes Apple pie and ice cream for breakfast right?

Bathrooms were recently renovated and the rooms themselves were perfect for a nights rest.

Just a short walk from the center of the city and a short drive to the temples, it is a perfect place to stay in Agrigento.

Everything you have read from other reviewers is true! Finding this place is quite a challenge, but well worth it. Incredible view, very comfy room with an updated bathroom. The REAL gems, though, are the people: Antonia is a delight -- warm, genuine, compassionate and giving. The fabulous breakfasts she prepares display not only her culinary prowess, but her pride in her homeland and the abundance of foods therein. Franco is also delightful -- while he does not speak English, a spoken language was not needed to understand his kindness and good humor. We drove around Sicily for 10 days, and staying here was a highlight of our trip.

There are not enough stars to describe kindness and clever, bright, intellectual spirit of our experience at Casa di Max. Brilliant breakfast full of sicilian flavors, magnificent vue to Agrigento temples, history that flies away your mind in centuries of civilization. Antonia and Franco are beautiful people.

A nice room, 5 minutes walk from the city centre (admittedly, not a very pleasent walk at night). The room has a tiny porch with a great view to the valley of temples. The room is very basic, but very clean and tidy.
The sweet breakfast was fantastic, Antonia and her husband are such lovely hosts, and went out of their ways to make sure we had all we needed, despite the fact they do not speak English.
If you're gonna stay in Agrigento- a casa di max is a great place for low budget travelers who wish to experience a warm Sicilian hospitality

All the rave reviews are justified.
We stayed here for two days at the end of September and wish it had been a week!
We were warmly greeted by Antonia's husband, despite having arrived two hours late. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with breathtaking views over the Valley of the Temples from our 7th floor balcony. The ensuite bathroom was clean and modern. The apartment is full of Antonia's books, paintings, CDs and other delightful bits & pieces that she has collected, which we found very touching. We were served a delicious breakfast prepared by Antonia and her husband-all fresh, local products.
We would definitely return next time we are lucky enough to go to Sicily.
