It is the second time we have dinner in this restaurant. Food is very good and service friendly and fast, even with full house. It is very popular in the area, better to make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside.

Thank M R

We read reviews here about this place and thought this would be a traditional Provencal restaurant. Alas, it was everything but. We were met by a cigarette smoking lady who showed us to our table. We ordered wine, and tried to ignore the disinterested service and the uninspiring and shabby surroundings. For food I wanted the jumbo prawns (gambas), and husband chose beef from the grill. When asked what it all came with the answer was, 'legumes' (vegetables).

As the restaurant began to fill with people who obviously all knew each other, our order came in and mine wasn't prawns but scallops wrapped in bacon.I ate one of them, but could not have any more as they were raw - even the bacon was undercooked. Husband's beef was ok, but we both had stir fried vegetables, and I had rice that had seen better days (cold and definitely reheated), while husband had a pile of pasta without sauce with his 'oriental' vegetables. (I only wish I'd had the presence of mind to take pictures).

We were desperately trying to catch the eye of the staff to complain and to ask for our bill (I'd begun to feel decidedly queazy) when The Patron came to say hello to us and asked why I hadn't eaten my meal. I said I'd ordered gambas, and that the dish I had was uncooked. He shook his head and muttered 'Je suis desole' (I am sorry) and carried onto the next table. Still, we had to wait for at least ten more minutes for the bill, which we were asked to pay in full.

That was the worst restaurant experience of my life. Please, please do not ever be tempted eat in this awful place.

This restaurant is situated in a small hamlet 10 minutes from Aix en Provence. It is in a country side with lovely vineyards and olive mills.
They have got a modern conservatory and it may be nice to sit there in spring/summer. However stay in the old restaurant section. It is so wonderful and just like Provence used to be before everything got so commercial . We had lovely grilled fish, dorade and loup with fennel and veges.
