We sent three nights at Lupus Den, 22-24 November 2017. We had a most enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner Priscilla ensures the comfort of her guests. The establishment is an old farmhouse which is tastefully furnished and the room we had in the main building was large, en suite bathroom and a separate entrance. Being situated on a cirtus farm away from the towns, there is adequate security.

If you be guest on a place where your host loves what she is doing, thatˋs simple the best what can happen to you. Priscilla is the one who loves her house, her garden and the recipes for lunch or dinner. A lovely place to stay, quiet and to not misunderstand it -old-fashioned - in a very positive way.

Strongly recommended to stay there for a few days when you are innthe greater addo region, enjoy the dinner - itˋs delicious.

The Lupus Den Country House close to Port Elizabeth was a great start to begin our tour through South Africa. The rooms are very big and comfortable. Especially the breakfast which Priscilla and her team prepared for us was an experience. It kinda felt like we were in a different time. Great service, we really loved it!

After a great visit of the Addo Elephant park, we arrived on a cold rainy day in the Lubus Den Country House. The friendly hostess welcomed us with a delicious dinner, great wine and a cosy fireplace. The rooms are very spacious, well furnished and close to a beautiful swimming pool and a nice garden. We enjoyed our stay!

We spent three nights at Lupus in April 2017. This is a wonderful base to relax or explore the Addo region. Our room was spacious and appointed to a very high standard, with everything that we could have wanted from a 4 star property. The house and cottage rooms are in a mature, well tended garden setting amongst citrus plantations.
Despite the fact that the owners were away when we visited, we were left in the very capable hands of Maria, who looked after every need and prepared superb three course set meals (tailoured to suit dietary requirements) served on 5 star table settings in beautiful dining room.
Sadly Maria was about to retire and was handing over to a potential replacement - she will be hard to replace but the potential replacement that we met seemed likely to ensure that the service quality would continue.
Highly recommended.
