Quite a jewel in the Bahamas. Was pleasantly impressed with the quality of the service and friendly, genuine nature of all the staff. Awesome beachfront hotel. The best Hotel in Harbor Island by far. Beach attendants were very attentive. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Visited in early May.

I simply loved our 5 days at this hotel. We stayed in two different units: (1) Lime North and (2) Dunmore South. Lime North is Ocean View. Small unit but well laid out and the view, really lovely. Dunmore South is a one bedroom suite, with a partial ocean view. Very nice, quite large unit. All the units are beautifully decorated and well appointed. Bathrooms seem a little tired, but good sizes with lovely Molton Brown toiletries.

The property is lovely, feels like you are at a friend's, a very manageable size.

We liked the restaurant a lot. We had two breakfasts, one lunch and one dinner. Beautiful setting with good food.

Beach is amazing. Pool also very nice but we loved going to the beach. Daniel at the beach was so nice and helpful, we enjoyed seeing him each day.

All of the staff we very nice, GiGi, Rashida and the tall bartender - can't remember his name - who when he saw me come of the beach would pour me a glass of rose. One odd thing is that bar doesn't serve champagne by the glass, at a resort of this caliber something I would expect, but not a big deal.

The resort is very well located for walks to other resorts on the beach and for a walk into Dunmore Town. We did not rent a golf cart, very easy to walk every where.

The Dunmore is not inexpensive and it has a reputation to uphold, so my expectations were high - they met or exceeded everything I had hoped for. This was simply one of my most favorite vacations ever. I am obsessed with going back - we'll see........

We hadn't been back to the Dunmore since it renovation a few years ago and hoped that not too much had changed. The new owners kept the intimate, secluded flavor of the property but gave a beautiful facelift to the cottages. We'd stay nowhere else on Briland, our favorite Caribbean destination. The staff is wonderful (hey Bob, pssssst). Special callout to Rashida, who is friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. Hope we'll see you all next year.

Room Tip: Splurge for an ocean view.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking time out of your day, to give us your feedback.

Yes, the decorating team lead by Amanda Lindroth did an incredible job, they were able to create a chic atmosphere while still holding onto the Bahamian charm.

I will pass on your kinds remarks to the mentioned team members!

Warmest Regards,
Ramon Andrews

Outstanding Food and Service! Had dinner here a few years ago on our first visit to the island, staying here for the first time. The food and service are exceptional, have had more than a half a dozen meals here and would recommend it to any foodie. Already looking forward to returning next year!

My husband and I traveled to many Caribbean Islands but had never been to the Bahamas until the end of last March and the beginning of April. I was presented with a big challenge to find a perfect island and a perfect hotel for our one week vacation. We like luxury, but we stay away from big hotels and bustling resorts. We found the ideal spot--the Dunmore Beach Hotel on Harbour Island.

It is a magical place. The small resort centers around main pavilion which accommodates the reception area, a comfortable lounge, a bar and a very attractive restaurant with outdoor seating. Guests gather in the lounge before dinner enjoying delicious cocktails masterfully prepared by Lynn, Charlene or Henry. They are the most warm and engaging people. Their margaritas are to "die for".

There are several guest cottages set on very lovely grounds. Most face the ocean and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world which stretches for about 3 miles. The beauty of it isn't just the blue water and very fine sand with a pink hue, but the fact that it isn't crowded. Daniel and his staff set up comfortable chaise lounges, umbrellas and small tables for the hotel guests every morning. They also serve drinks and lunches, should you decide to eat on the beach.

Our Cottage, Pink South, was airy, light beautifully furnished and provided everything we needed for our comfort. We had a nice-size patio where I spent most of early mornings just taking in sounds of nature. It was a pure pleasure.

The restaurant at the Dunmore serves delicious meals. We had fresh and tasty sea food and fish dishes. On our last evening my husband enjoyed breast of duck, perfectly prepared and recently introduced to the menu. The service was excellent and very friendly. The restaurant is open to the outside guests and it's booked well in advance.

Above all what makes the Dunmore so very special is the entire staff. Everybody is very cordial, friendly, helpful and charming. Instantly, from the moment we arrived, they become our new and wonderful friends. They are extremely attentive and truly caring. We remember all of them and their names: Ramon Andrews, the property General Manager, Rasheda the Reservation Manager, Erica the Restaurant Supervisor, Lynn, Charlene, Henry, Bob,Anne, Shemika to name just a few.

We loved the place and we would definitely return. We found a small paradise.
