Nothing special not close to the beach, you have to get on a little raft at the back of the hotel to get to the beach. You need a car to get to everywhere no shopping area close. the AC went out but was fixed in a few hours. The grounds is well kept.

Had a lovely drive from our resort across the real Antigua, with stops along the way for our driver Sherwin to highlight some local points of interest. He even gave us locally grown bananas! The kayak piece of the excursion was quiet and picturesque, not too long for inexperienced kayakers. Snorkeling was great, with guides Kenton and Imran in the water to point out the best spots to see fish and swim with the kids. Back on shore we had punch and banana bread before heading back to our hotel. Sherwin took us on a quick detour to see historic Betty's Hope, a sugar cane mill and plantation site from the 1700s. All in all a wonderful mix of tourism, history and a chance to explore this beautiful place.

My sister and I loved this excursion. Our guide, Sherwin, was fun, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we got a flavour of the real Antigua. We loved learning about the local culture. Kayaking through mangroves was an unforgettable experience!! And snorkelling around the coral reef was amazing: we even saw a giant turtle and a sting ray! Our guides were fun, super friendly, and knowledgeable. An excellent excursion!!

We booked this as an option to see Cades Reef since we love snorkeling reefs and the shore excursions on our cruise didn't offer this reef as a visiting option. It was a little difficult to get in touch with them from the website but email seemed to work okay. I'm glad I kept at it because we absolutely loved the experience! We were picked up from the port and were able to see a good deal of the island as we drove out to the bay. Imran was very informative and gave us a lot of information on the trees we saw along the way.
We enjoyed the kayaking through the mangroves but it was only about 10 minutes so it's not really a focus on the trip. However, the snorkeling was great! As other travelers noted, the seas are a bit rough by this reef but my husband and I are good swimmers so that wasn't an issue at all. We didn't have any issues with visibility and were able to see some great wildlife, including turtles, a nurse shark, and a large barracuda. My only wish was a bit more time at the reef as 30 minutes didn't feel quite long enough. Other travelers noted an hour snorkeling so maybe the times vary.

Back on the beach, we spent an hour or so wandering up a trail to see the reef from above and eating a great lunch from a local restaurant. After lunch we went back through the mangroves and into the land rover to drive back to port. We stopped a few times along the way to look at some more sites and made it back with plenty of time to spare at port.

7 of us went on the half day kayaking and snorkelling tour yesterday with Socoho. It was ok but nothing special at all. The kayaking through the mangroves was nice but lasted 10 minutes there and back. Good snorkelling but strong currents and not appropriate for the young children we had with us. The guide who picked us up in the Defender was great and the drive there and back was fun however the female guide who took us snorkelling / kayaking was abrupt and that somewhat ruined our trip. It was an ok trip only, no more than that. Our third time in Antigua and love island / people but feel this was a wasted day to be honest and much better trips out there to chose from. Felt pressured to give separate tips to each of the guides. I'm not one for giving bad reviews but this could be so much better
