The second time we have eaten at Ephesus and the second time I have been disappointed.
The food is very expensive for the quality and the quantity. During our recent visit the portions were verging on ridiculous, 2 slices of sausage (1cm x 3cm) 4 slices of haloumi (1cm x 2cm) 2 pastry rolls and some off salad leaves between 2 people! I suspect during our visit that the food was being spread out to accommodate the busy restaurant.
Th actual quality of the food is okay; although not at the level of the food prices.
We spent £175 for a table of 5 people and came away feeling terribly underwhelmed and ashamed to have wasted so much money on so little food for our family.
The staff were clearly very busy during our visit and it showed in attentiveness. We asked for some bread (included within the meal apparently) twice which never arrived. We had to ask for our table to be cleared, ask for our dessert order to be taken, ask for additional drinks, ask for the bill and then had no 'thank you' for visiting, 'see you next time.'
For the level of food, the standard of the waiting staff vs the cost. I cannot recommend that anyone visit.
