Although 50 km off the main south / north BI, worth the diversion.

A surprising treed green oasis in the arid kalahari. Accommodation is private in separate little cozy cottages. Adequately furnished and all functioning. A fireplace to counter the winter chill.

Welcoming and helpful staff. A good restaurant and an interesting little shop supplying locally made goods such as handbags and the like.

One of the Gondwana Lodges we always wanted to visit. It is a bit out of the way travelling from Cape Town to Windhoek as you have to drive to and from Stampriet to the B1. The friendly staff, good food and clean rooms made up for the detour. Should be an excellent stopover travelling from the Kgalagadi (Mata Mata) to Windhoek.

We use this accommodation to interrupt one of our long distance drive. The Farmhouse was well situated with a small creek and enough trees to find shadow ;-) and we ware happy to get a wonderful Steak of oryx for the diner.
Thanks for a good stay.

A nice surprises with excellent service, nice and comfortable accommodation and great food. The people were very friendly and attentive. The room was initially cold and we would have appreciated a fire in the the room.

We heard from friends about this place. they were there about 3 years ago. They told us it was just like a farm. We expected to see chickens running around , cows being milked, maybe an operational tractor or similar etc. - noting like that. The reason we went there was to entertain our grandson, who hasn't been on a farm before. Only pigs were to be seen and not even feeding times or anything. Would have loved to see the vegetable garden, but nobody invited us or even mentioned it. The food was very good, but really very expensive. The rooms looked good, but the floors are VERY cold - no proper rugs or at least a fireplace or electric blankets. No space to handle a small child changing nappies - had to go down on the clod floor. Shower exceptionally small. Had to ask for a baby bath even thought the staff saw the small child. No space to pack toiletries without reach for small ones - had to put toiletries in bedrooms cupboard. Outside light shining right into window - kept us from sleeping well - in other words the rooms was not dark enough - flimsy curtains. Breakfast was really good and staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will not go there again, except if a lot of changes are being made. O yes, and only mentioning your new lodge after us asking about it, was not good. We went there and found it very inviting. Would have loved to maybe have dinner there one night, but it was not offered.
