The owners John and Janice are friendly and helpful, as is their housekeeper, Lynn, for whom nothing is too much trouble.
The house itself is an old stone property, very well maintained and equipped. Both the house and the studio apartments have spacious balconies with spectacular views over the Caribbean Sea.
We loved sitting with a sundowner, watching the stunning sunsets in the evenings, looking for the legendary 'green flash' which I thought was a myth until I actually saw it! We loved the ease with which you can get into the sea from the little sandy cove which shelves gently into the sea. You can easily swim to nearby Paradise Beach (I'm not a confident swimmer, but I can do it) and then take a leisurely stroll along the beach before swimming back, or if you prefer you can walk to it via an avenue of trees where you might spot a monkey or two swinging from the branches.
Lots of good places to eat (both up-market and simple) can be easily accessed from Ocean Blues, either by local bus (which is great fun and very efficient) or in a few minutes by car/taxi. The CinCin restaurant is within a few minutes walking distance and is very good (be careful of the busy road). Both Holetown and Bridgetown are easily reached too.
