We stayed mid August and we had a very relaxing time at Hortensia cottage, I remembered what it felt like to be relaxed! It was an absolute bonus to have the welcome pack full of delightful things to enjoy during our stay, from butter, fruit to local wine and local gache bread. All very appreciated and a nice touch. The Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need during a holiday so we could just get on with our day. We loved the pool! It was so warm and on a bright day you could stay in until late. Around the cottage there are fig trees and various fruit trees - very pleasant and we enjoyed the space and tranquillity.
My wife and two girls (3&8 yrs) recently stayed at this lovely gite for 2 weeks. We found the accommodation to be well appointed and very clean and came with a brilliant welcome pack. We loved eating outside for lunch and tea and the girls loved the swimming pool which was a superb temperature.
The area is very rural and quiet and brilliant for cycling as the roads are very quiet, I would recommend an ordinance survey type map which was provided but a more detailed one can be found in the local supermarket.
In summary, a great place to stay with lots to do around and about, we would definitely recommend.
