My sisters are local to Fishguard and we dropped in one afternoon an hour before closing and had some really tasty fish pate (salmon and mackerel) served up with toast and a small salad. Enough to keep the wold from the door.
The owner tries to source all local ingredients in making the fare.
I understand a lot of locals eat here so it must be good!
Look at the website and then pick a day and go. Lunch bookings are must probably a must! Enjoy.

1. A great building, the vestry of a chapel.
2. The café occupies the entire hall of the vestry. There is plenty of space, no sense of sitting on top of other people.
3. The room is beautifully decorated and presented.
4. The staff are lovely: friendly and welcoming.
5. The menu is small but imaginative. For example, the baguettes on offer all have very tempting fillings with a modern twist.
6. The food is lovely.
7. The cakes are outstanding.
8. Service is everything one could ask for.
9. Tea is nicely presented, with a traditional teapot and traditional cups.
10. Everything about Bara Brith is so nice that one feels that every visit has been a very special enjoyable experience.
