I had an amazing stay at Waide Motel for a couple of nights. It was very peaceful during the wintertime and had the chance to capture the snow. The food was fresh and tasty and suitable for vegans! Thank you for your hospitality.

Good location, just few steps before Tartu or Võrtsjärv or Valka, makes it a perfect place to stay overnight. Owners and their team takes care, that you sleep well and enjoy great food. Defenatly come back!

For those who use E264 it is a nice place to stay with pets. You will not lose time to find this place. Quiet and clean rooms. Wi-fi. Good breakfast. If you need more than one night, you will find sauna and other entertainments. We will definitely stay again on our way from Riga to Estonian-Russian border.

We did not stay for a night but, during our hiking trip we happened to be right next to this place when it appeared that a thunderstorm might be coming. So we decided to ask for a shelter while the cloud goes away.
Even the restaurant was not open yet, they let us in, they showed us outlets for charging the phones, we could use the internet and we felt really, really sorry that we cannot stay long enough to repay their kindness and hospitality with at least buying a coffee or two.
Judging by what we saw, this is for sure a cozy place for a lunch or dinner and most likely for a good sleep too. At least staff-wise, you will be taken care off at excellent level.

Came to this Motel/camp site that is South West of Tartu in Estonnia as an alternative to one 50% more expensive that is North of Tartu.
Very helpful lady on reception with very good facilities on the camp site itself, including lots of Hot water for washing and showers. Although the ground can get boggy in heavy rain.
Close by is the village of Elva where you can park your car by the railway station for free and go by Bus into Tartu, on a 50 Minute drive through the countryside.
The alternative is the one train at 06:51 each morning if you are inclined to get up early!
Room tip: While we did not stay in the rooms they appear to be quite large and away from the main road that runs past the Motel.
Free Internet access is also available in the rooms and on the camp site.

If you're stopping off in this area then the Motel Waide is a nice enough place to do it. It's modern, clean and comfortable, it's convenient for the main road south from Tartu past Elva but not too noisy, and the continental breakfast was very passable. Sauna is available into the early hours for your enjoyment / traditional Estonian beer drinking experience.
