An absolute must.!!

My wife and I travelled a lot and have been to numerous great hotels and restaurants. Some expensive and some very affordable.

La Capuccina is definitely a great very affordable place to stay and eat

On the last night of our week in Italy we chose to stay closer to Malpensa airport and booked into La Capuccina , an Agritursmo about 40 mins from Malpensa airport.

The food was perhaps the best we have had in a very long time. This after seven days of incredibly sublime Italian food! The services was excellent. The prices were more than reasonable. Gianlucca the owner and chef came to our table - as to all tables to make sure all was to our satisfaction and also to recommend a marvellous local wine.

Our room was very clean, smart and modern yet with cachet fitting nicely into this 16th century (or so) old farm house compound

We definitely recommend La Capuccima on your next passage west of Milan

Tucked away off the beaten track, this converted farm house exudes warmth and comfort, specialising in local, seasonal and homemade, including the tasty bread and pasta.

The menu is fixed, allowing close attention to every dish, of which there were several!

The standout dish was a wonderful pumpkin and gorgonzola risotto. The servings were nicely balanced, but I gladly took a second helping of the risotto!

There was a good choice of wine. We followed the eat local mantra and enjoyed a lovely full bodied bottle of Gattinara (Torraccia Del Piantavigna, 2009).

We had already heard a lot about this Agriturisme and it is really good. Food was excellent and special. Staff and service quick and friendly. Warm atmosphere. Excellent wines of all types. To return also for special occasions and with special guests. To be recommended.

I have had the pleasure of staying and eating (some of the most delicious food Italy has to offer) at La Capuccina for a number of years.

This year I was fortunate enough to be able to celebrate my wedding at La Capuccina with the wonderful Gian Luca and Raffaella. Everything was absolute perfection from the gorgeous canapes to the wonderful decor, the sublime 7 course tasting menu and the exceptionally warm welcome for our guests.

The rooms are just lovely too - we had the room with the sauna in it which is really spectacular. What a place!!! All of our guests went away with the highest praise for the locally sourced fine dining, the wonderful wine from local vineyards, the rural views, the relaxed surroundings - everyone was beyond impressed.

La Capuccina offers a delicious 7 course meal (which was just under €40pp!!) throughout the week which never fails to disappoint! Gian Luca is such an accomplished chef that the food is always exceptional. If you ask, he will select the perfect local wine to complement the courses. The homemade agnolotti pasta, the slow cooked meats and the warm zabajone over homemade ice cream are a real highlight! Do make the trip if you happen to be in the area - i can not rate this gorgeous agriturismo highly enough!

La Capuccina is in a set of beautiful old buildings and the food is sensational. There is no choice and you are presented with dish after dish of great local quality. Local wines are excellent and cheap. Considering the ambience, the standard of cooking and the quantity of food, it is very modestly priced.
