Alatskivi castle is a little bit off the beaten path but definately worth visiting. It has been restored with great care and there are pictures of the project in one of the rooms. Other information is also quite imteresting.

We stayed three nights in one of the four charming rooms. Three are fairly similar. The tower room is unique with the bed in the round tower. We chose one of the other rooms because of wanting a window with a view. It was quiet at night and we slept well. The food is outstanding; breakfast is included and delicious. The castle is clean, beautifully restored, very large and provides a lot of fun for exploring. The staff speak English, and were exceedingly pleasant and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and plenty of walking opportunities. Definitely recommmend for any age though two flights of stairs to rooms.
