The drive to get to the castle is beautiful and relaxing. The restaurant is set in a high-ceiling wooden-ornamented room with a large stone fireplace. The service is very friendly and the menu notably features game meat and fish which are all local produce.

My wife loved the fish of the day and I enjoyed their really good pigeon.

highly recommend this also very family-friendly place !

This castle is amazing both inside and out. From the moment you step onto the beautifully landscaped property you feel like you have gone back in time. This castle is white which is very unusual in the region. It was said that during World War II it was spared from bombers because it was painted black and could not be seen at night.

Staying the night in this beautiful castle and eating the fantastic breakfast the following day made our trip to Estonia complete.

Room tip: There are only three or four rooms for occupancy. Weekends are especially crowded. Midweek is the best time to visit.

NIce castle outside and inside! Inside you can get nice overview of the life the local barons and castle servants lived hundred years ago. Stunning renovation process is shown on the pictures on walls also.

We wanted to explore the surrounding area of Tartu and this manor house was recommended to us by a local resident. It was an easy drive. When we arrived, we were given a short history of the castle and then allowed to go through the rooms and exhibits on our own at our own pace.we ate lunch at the restaurant and had a lovely meal. It was a very interesting day trip. Highly recommend this location.

We we were lucky just to dive in history. We did not plan to visit this castle, but it was totally worth it!! This castle is nice and very interesting, you can literally just feel the history in it. The surroundings are marvellous! It is a genuine off-path gem, which shows just how many things one can see in it's homecountry. Totally recommend!
