We weren't sure if this would be worth it as it was late December when we visited... but it was beautiful! The bog is not what you think, the boardwalk is easy to traverse & the forest walk back was lovely as well. We would totally recommend doing this - at any time of year! You will get stunning photos.
Not quite sure what all the fuss is about. Was a nice enough walk but wasn’t blown away. Wish the signage on the walk had been more detailed. Wouldn’t go out of my way to visit but worth a stop if you’re in the area.
Lahemaa National Park is poorly signposted.
A well kept boardwalk in a beautiful swamp scenery. Walk starts close to parking and makes a loop. This should definitely be on your itinerary. Take your swimmers with you!
Stunning trail with very diverse things to see. Not often you can visit and explore bogs in that way and just walk through. Definitely recommend stopping by when in the area.
Definitely worth a stop - Must see with a walkway over the bog along with an observation tower. Along the way you will be educated on how a peat bog forms and the consequences of draining and mining the peat. Can take an hour or two depending on whether you go beyond the tower and do the full walking loop. An area for swimming if you are game for it.
