We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay as we had visited the restaurant the year before and it was great. When we arrived we found that the restaurant was closed that night. When we asked if we could book for the next night the owner told us it was shut for both nights as the chef had left and a new menu was starting on the Monday. I expressed my disappointment and was given a sheet of paper with other places to eat and taxi details! There was no apology or even a complimentary drink offered. We ended up having to drive to the next village on the Sunday night as none of the taxis were available. The bar in the hotel was not even available to us to have a drink.
Although the hotel itself is nice and in a lovely spot the owners customer service was appalling and I now wouldn't recommend the hotel

I apologised on the spot and did my best to point you towards desirable alternatives nearby. With no restaurant for two nights I didn't have free drinks to offer. Your review has hurt my feelings, however I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the restaurant in the past and should you change your mind and visit again, please remember to 'Book to avoid Disappointment.'

Mdowsweet is a quirky hotel in easy reach of all you need to do in Snowdonia furnished well shame no one told us that the bar and restraunt would not be open the weekend we were there had to find our own food Friday night as no restraunt (we had not booked a meal but thought we would be able to get bar snacks ) and bar closed at 21.00 Friday and was not open the rest of the weekend rather disapointing but overal a great little hotel

Room Tip: Front rooms have road noise nothing you can do as main road

Thank you for your review. Yes the restaurant changed hands last weekend and opening hours were less than desirable. However, on your next return visit you'll be happy to find Lle Hari open 7 nights a week. Hope to see you again soon.

Spent two nights in the Meadowsweet Hotel and enjoyed the experience of this quirky hotel in Llanrwst which is in easy reach of the North Wales coast, Anglesey, Snowdonia and a few short miles from Bets-y-Coed. Staff were friendly, the breakfast choice was fine and the hotel was spotless. The Lle Hari Restaurant at the hotel was closed during our stay but the owner gave us a list of alternatives. Happy to recommend the Meadowsweet.

Room Tip: Room 3 had a four poster bed and views of the surrouding countryside.

Meadowsweet is a cute Little family run hotel at the edge of Llanrwst. It is easily found, it usually has enough parking (minus the dinner times perhaps but then you can park at nearby streets) with great views if you get one of the front facing rooms (which unfortunately also mans some traffic noise).
The rooms are immaculate, well equipped (even a bit of sherry if that’s your tipple ;) and very comfortable. The mattress was perhaps a bit too soft but this is very personal, so cant fault for that.

If I had any comments that weren’t absolutely positive then the breakfast was a bit below our expectations (especially as their dinner was unbelievable). Individually wrapped pastry might seem cost effective but its not appetising nor environmentally friendly. All major supermarkets sell frozen pastry that can be turned into part of a great breakfast and its something you don’t mind waiting for for 10min.
Anyway, we would definitely stay at the hotel again if we are in the area again, it is conveniently located and a very friendly place!

A one night stay to go a wedding locally, the Meadowsweet ticked most of my criteria boxes. room was well furnished with decent furniture and o k en suite. Small car park on a niot too busy road, it did the trick for me. Nice breakfast.
