My Wife and I, booked to stay at this Hotel as we were going to a wedding near by. On arrival we were told that the doors closed at 11pm so we would have to be back, that was a surprise as we thought it was a Hotel not an B and B.

The Staff were great but the Hotel itself seemed confused, it's was either super modern or was of 1930's fashion, neither of which is a bad thing except this was in the same room!!

Our room was room 15 which had a strong musty smell, stains on the walls and curtains, other than that the room was ok but massively over priced at £110.00, I think £60.00 would have been about right.

The food was very nice and service was good but unfortunately the Hotel just didn't reach the heights that the ratings have given it.

We stayed here after climbing Snowdon and found it well placed, clean, comfortable with good food. The breakfast was tasty with a vegetarian option available. We were upgraded to a family suite with three rooms which had been newly refurbished. There was a problem with the shower which we were told about beforehand. There was a separate toilet, very handy! Everything was very clean and well maintained.

Loved this place. Friendly staff, building has load of character and is in a lovely little location.
Our room had been recently refurbished by the looks of it and was to an excellent standard. There was a modern bathroom, bedroom and a seperate sitting area with TV which made a nice change.
Breakfast was full english with choice of cereals and toast etc.
View from the hotel is lovely and picturesque. Shame we didnt get good weather as it would look incredible.
We sampled the local indian which was excellent and did a pub crawl around the local establishments and all were extremely friendly and welcoming.
We have used this location as a base for a short trip around and it is very well situated for a trip to snowdonia.

We were a party of ten and stayed here after completing the '3 peaks' challenge, over 3 days. It was a family event with young and old in the party. After completing Snowdon we were all looking forward to a nice hot shower, good food and a comfy bed to sleep in. We got all 3 in abundance.
The hotel had a fantastic reception area with a beautiful wood staircase and a full suit of medieval armour next to the desk, keeping in with the theme/age of the building.
The rooms were very comfortable. I had the family room which was clean and very spacious with a queen size bed, ante room with two singles for my daughters and a large modern shower/bathroom. The decor was great and everything was provided such as tea/coffee making facilities and iron/ironing board.
The evening meal was excellent. There was a great range of delicious home cooked dishes and a fantastic 'specials' board. The dishes were not over priced either.
There was also a great selection of drinks from the bar including wine.
Breakfast was buffet style. The food again was very good.
The staff at the hotel were excellent throughout. Everyone we encountered, reception staff, cleaning staff and breakfast staff including the chef were polite, attentive and professional.
I have make special mention to the staff who served us during our meal. They were Craig, Adam, Tom and Neah (sorry if I've spelt it incorrectly). They all looked after us fantastically, and carried out their duties with enthusiasm, professionalism and a smile. Craig in particular went above and beyond when he 'rustled' up delicious home made puddings after the chef had retired for the night. They are all a credit to the hotel and they certainly made our stay that much more special. Thank you to each and everyone.
I shall definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
