Interesting couple of hours spent on a rainy day. Fascinating to hear the stories of those prisoners from history and definitely eye opening. Sons 5 and 9 enjoyed looking round.

Reading about the different inmates was interesting but there just wasn't enough there to justify the £10 each price. We were only in there about 45 minutes and the information in there was quite repetitive.

Doing the tourist thing and visiting places near where we are camping. Bodmin jail £10 adult or £8.50 with student card. It was a very interesting place with lots of history. Some parts were closed off due to refurbishment. That didn't spoil or detract from what we saw or learnt. It is a great place for a family day out I would recommend it as a place to go if you are nearby.

Spent a good couple of hours here, very interesting stories! Building is great to see too!! The exhibition its self was very interesting... The system on buying the tickets however wasn’t thought about at all had to wait in a fairly big line which went through the tea room which was causing everyone squeezing through to get out. The restaurant upstairs looks really nice as in a lovely building but food was very very disappointing to the point I very nearly said something. Not a variety of food at all, as wanting something hot I went for chicken fajitas! Well I was to receive not even a whole chicken Breast.. just about enough for two chicken nuggets the rest was full of peppers and one little slice of mushroom which was a bit odd, I received one wrap for this which was cut in half. Great day but would definitely not recommend eating here.

An off the cuff visit due to a rainy day, which led to us really enjoying Bodmin Jail, a lot of steps so maybe not for the unsteady on their feet.
The exhibits are well documented with a touch of the macabre however not enough to scare younger visitors.
We look forward to the Naval wing being transformed into a hotel and would love to book in.
