Visited with friends and was impressed from beginning to end. Clean and nicely decorated. Pleasant and helpful staff. Everything was good quality and homemade. The tea and coffee was great.

The portion size was what really impressed me. The amount of salmon and eggs was definitely amazing value for money. The full breakfast was perfect. The bacon sandwich was packed with thick good quality meat.

Really blown away by this place. As the food was so filling we couldn't fit a dessert in but all the home made cakes looked very tasty! Maybe next time. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

This is the second time we've eaten here and both times we've had great service and lovely food.
Would recommend highly but you need to book to make sure you get in

Six of us had Sunday lunch here, having heard that it was the best place around for quality ingredients and cooking. The reports were not unfounded - if you are a carnivore. Those of us who eat meat were very well served and the beef, lamb and pork belly were superb. However, the only vegetarian option available was really just a side dish: cauliflower cheese (misleadingly labelled as a cauliflower and cheese bake). It was nice but hardly a main course and not exactly thrilling. The accompanying veg were OK, nothing special, and the Yorkshire puddings were not good, dry and with the texture of cardboard.

On the plus side, a tomato and red pepper soup was yummy and the puddings were described as 'pleasant' by our desserts expert. A place worth trying but be warned if you want something that isn't meat.

We originally popped in just to go to the shop but swiftly decided to get breakfast when we saw there were tables free. We both went for the full Yorkshire which was gorgeous. It is very popular so advisable to book.
