Thank you Sandra for taking the time to write a review which is very much appreciated by the team.
We visited for an overnight stay which was complimentary due to a previous disappointing experience.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that we’d been given a best sea view room with balcony which was lovely!
The room itself was clean and well presented, chocolates and a post card were a lovely touch!
We also used our 90 minute spa session which we really enjoyed as always!
We went for a meal in beachside barbecue which we were pleasantly surprised with and we had a lovely time!! A must try!
We would return as this stay left us feeling much happier than the last, the only slight inconvenience was a sign left on the car when we were due to leave saying that we had not registered it with reception and we could be fined, but we had done on check in.. other than that! No complaints.
Thank you Rebecca for allowing us the opportunity to rectify the issues you had on your previous stay and I'm thrilled we've been able to restore your faith in us and that you got to experience Beachside Barbecue as well and enjoyed yourselves.
We hope you will visit us again in the very near future.
A fabulous hotel. Staff were very professional but friendly at the same time. It was a refreshing change to have staff that were efficient and excellent at their jobs. Receptionists were brilliant. Views from Hotel were amazing, lounges were comfortable and stylish . Food in restaurant was fabulous. Celtic Manor could learn a lot from this hotel and the way the staff were trained. Would certainly return. Fantastic all round.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. Much appreciated and we hope you will come and visit us again very soon.
I visited the spa only with my daughter for a treat. We arrived at the hotel a bit early as our journey had been quicker than we expected. So we ordered coffee & pastries at the bar and were served on an enclosed balcony so we could look out over the harbour & beach. The little tray of pastries which accompanied our coffee made it very good value for money. The spa was lovely and of course, the infinity pool is something else!
Thank you Sue. We're so pleased you and your daughter enjoyed your day with us and hope we'll see you again soon.
Had a lovely couple of nights in this gorgeous hotel at the end of our holidays. Room was amazing and panoramic sea views. Staff were all lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely return again.
Thank you so much for this lovely review and in particular about the team here as it's most appreciated. We hope we will welcome you again very soon.
Yes. It is expensive , but, for a special occasion it is worth it ! We booked a good room with sea view and dinner was included. This is a very professional hotel , but, still manages a personal, friendly touch. We received a welcoming email to ensure everything was as we wanted, parking was fine, the receptionist escorted us to our room and explained how the hotel and spa works.
The room was lovely and immaculately clean - nice to see Melin Tregwynt blanket and to read about the local carpentry. Wonderful view from our balcony. Plenty of teas and coffee provided with milk and water in the fridge - surprisingly no biscuits- or Welsh cakes ! A pity ! Turn down service provided too with sweets on your pillow, “ Sweet Dreams” There’s plenty of interesting information about the area in the room plus robes, slippers and a safe.
The spa is small ! The infinity pool has wonderful views overlooking Saundersfoot , but, your allotted 90 minutes is enough. Nice relaxing area though with teas, coffee and juices provided. I can’t comment on treatments as we didn’t have any.
Our evening meal was excellent - the waitress wished my husband a Happy Birthday - nice touch, they’d done their homework ! My roast halibut was delicious and my husband said the lamb was the best he’d ever had ! His cheese board was a feast - but, no Welsh cheeses ? Also, I did have to ask where my halibut came from - I think more could be done to provide provenance. My dessert was a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream - gorgeous ! My husband also received a fruit/ petit fours plate with happy birthday written in liquid chocolate - a sharing platter, of course !
Slept very well in comfortable bed and then into breakfast- again very good quality - I can recommend the mushrooms with laverbread ! The breakfast can really set you up for the day and service again was good !
I had expected to hear some Welsh in the hotel ; I saw some signs, but, apart from that not a word of spoken Welsh . A pity ! Bore da or diolch yn fawr would have not gone amiss - surely there are Welsh speaking staff ?
Check in is 3 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m. so nice to relax after breakfast .
We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay- St. Bride’s Spa Hotel is a special place in a lovely corner of Wales !
Thank you for your lovely review Margaret and we're so pleased your husband enjoyed his birthday treat with us. Just so you know, there are several staff in the hotel who speak Welsh as well as other languages.
We will take on board your comments as well about the cheese and knowing where the fish has come from as part of the team's on-going training and will pass on your other lovely comments about the evening meal and breakfast.
We hope we will see you again very soon.
