We were headed to the chinese buffet when we realised it had closed down and had been taken over my this burger themed bar/restaurant that used to be in the arcade. Gave it a go as it seemed busy and to be honest not a lot else was open to serve food at 3pm on a cold wet January afternoon. Great service and a menu with plenty of variety around an american burger/pizza theme. Good value with burgers 2 for £14 and sides of fries, salads etc were reasonably priced. Burgers were amazing - I had a veggie burger and it was delicious (lots of veggie choices too which was a bonus). Drinks were reasonably priced too. Entire meal for 4 including a couple of beers and a cocktail each came to £80 and we had a lot of food!

Happened to stumble on this restaurant by chance and so pleased we did. The menu was exhaustive so took slightly longer to decide what to order - you are spoiled for choice but not in a bad way. Opted for the chicken burger with bacon with other family opting for the beef burgers. The only negative I had was the burgers did not automatically come with fries, these needed to be ordered separately which I
think is rather unfair!!!! Additional extras yes but not fries, this should be standard!!!! There are an array of sides and your fries have varying options too - as previously stated, you are spoiled for choice (in a good way). No menu outside so your kind of caught when seated. Anyway the food was lovely, but if you don’t like mayo, say when ordering as it’s automatically on your burger ... personal taste). Service was good and attentive which is important to any restaurant. Will definitely return, a great find.

Stirling for the size of it has a pretty poor choice when it comes to eating out! So for our Office Xmas Lunch we decided to try Monterrey Jacks as has heard some good things about the food. The new restaurant was due to open on King Street but think it literally opened that day so we were in the arcade. Booked for 9 of us and sent in our pre order before lunch to cut down on wait time. When we sat down our table was dark we noticed their were no lightbulbs in the light fixtures- we were told these had been taken to the new venue ! When we ordered drinks again didn’t have enough for what we ordered as again taken to the new place! Even our sweet potato fries we had ordered they didn’t have as you guessed it . . .
Only 1 barman/Waiter and 1 in the kitchen which given when we were in restaurant had another 15/20 other customers. Barman/waiter was pleasant and efficient but couldn’t cope or be expected to do everything and had everything he needed when most of fittings and stock had been pilfered by the new venue. Food was excellent but 45 minute wait and lack of choice of drinks was poor. What made us laugh tho is the other venue must have had stolen the crockery too as one persons food was served in a wok and a lady in the other table had her food served in a colander!!Given we spent nearly £200 and had been organised and sent in pre orders very disappointed! Only reason i’m leaving 3 stars is because the food was excellent and good value for money!

On a cold and damp November morning it was really nice to walk in to this restaurant and receive a smile , cheerful greeting and offer of help.

Nice looking menu and cosy environment even a couple of desk chairs in the arcade.

Oh one thing I did notice was that the restaurant is moving to new larger premise. It is just around the corner and the staff I spoke to seem really excited by the move.

So good luck to them.
