From initial enquires and booking too checking out, the hosts of this hotel are excellent. They make you feel welcome even before you step through the door. We have just left today after a two night stay in a lovely sea view room (5). Before our arrival, Kirsty gave us a call to say the room was ready early and we could check in at midday. On checking in we could see the place was clean and fresh and the hosts very welcoming. We did unfortunately have a slight problem with the first room we were given, but they apologised (on many occasions) for the issue and moved us to another room immediately with an even better view and offered a discount when we checked out. These are genuinely lovely people/hosts, who care about there guests. Breakfast was great (Full English, of coarse) and many other choices. The location is good and only minutes from high street or the harbour. Long stay parking is available at the bottom of the street at £6 for 24hrs, which isn't too bad for summer rates. if your looking for clean, comfortable accommodation at reasonable rate, look no further. I'm sure you'll be welcomed at the Harcourt.

Room Tip: Great view from room 5, and the other rear rooms

We have been staying here for many years on our way to and from Lundy island.
Well run, reasonably priced and comfortable.
Home cooked breakfast.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Thanks Kirsty for another excellent stay.

Really lovely place, and easy to find your way around the town. Kirsty is very welcoming and the place is very friendly, and has lovely views of the sea from the terrace.
Dog friendly, and they make very tasty and filling breakfasts. We will def be going back!

We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights to cheer ourselves up, after xmas when we were both felt ill. We arrived on Wednesday evening in bad stormy weather which made our stay twice as enjoyable. Our hosts were very friendly and most informative. They made us feel very welcome from the start. From our room we watched waves crashing on the promenade while drinking the wine. The Hotel is situated on the oldest street in the town with only a few minutes walk from two oldest pubs both dog friendly with very good reasonably priced menus. Loved them both. they are both open all day. The bathroom was big enough and adequate with plenty of hot water the room was well equipped and we loved the beds. Very good sleep was had by both. The breakfast was enormous. After the first day, I left it to my partner and asked for a smaller version. the owners were very obliging. There are various breakfasts on offer as well as fruit, yogurt and orange juice plus all kinds of cereals and teas on offer. The parking might be problem for some, but we have no problem with it. We stopped in front of the hotel to offload the luggage and then the following morning we move the car a few minutes away to working harbor where 24 hour stay costs only £1.70 and it gives you easy access to roads leading out of town. Thank you very much for a wonderful time we had. I hope we will return soon. Loved every minute of it.
