Had the smugglers cave 1hr trip - captain was informative, sailed out close to the inland on the way out and on the way back we were at sea more.

Worth the money for the trip. Would do this again

We enjoyed the boat trip, which went out to sea and turned and on the return leg sailed closer to the coast. Commentary throughout to explain where we were. Great to see this part of Devon coast from a different viewpoint, ( from the sea). We did see seals. Wished we had brought better cameras with us.

Took the trip to see the seals to west of Ilfracombe. The captain proved to be a wealth of knowledge of the area, and made the trip totaly enjoyable. the view from the boat of the coast line is quite superb, and if like my wife walking along the cliffs is not an option then this is a great way to view the coast with a view of the seals an added bonus.

Booked the day before for the 11 o'clock tour for 5 people. Arrived on the day and queued for 20 minutes to collect our tickets....... only to be told that another party that had booked had arrived with more people and so now there was no room on the boat and the next trip wasn't till 1.00. What is the point in allowing people to book if you then give their spaces away!! Surely you should have made the other party wait to see if everyone turned up before allowing them to get on and take our places!!! Rubbish customer service... luckily sea safari came to our rescue and we went on their trip instead which we all really enjoyed as they offered an amazing speed boat ride... so thank you ilfracombe princess for giving away our seats because we went on a much better trip in the end.

A fun and interesting boat trip out of Ilfracombe harbour and along the north Devon coast to see the seals sunbathing on the rocks. The Princess is a decent sized boat with loos on board and helpful staff. Just a little disappointed that they crammed as many people as they could on board (close to 100), making for a cramped and view-obscured journey - it would be wonderful on less busy days. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the trip, saw the seals and enjoyed the views.
