Just returned from a 3 night break in North Devon

This was booked last minute with only 2 properties free. The lodges did have good reviews - but we were not sure what to expect after booking so late.

We need not have worried...the lodge was lovely - it was number 27 and it had a sea view with 2 parking spaces

The lodge had 3 bedrooms
bedroom 1 held a double bed with ensuite with plenty of space & storage
bedroom 2 had 2 twin beds - about 3 feet wide again with plenty of storage - but not much space
bedroom 3 was small with 2 x 2 foot 6 inch beds - ideal for children but not adults - with very limited space - this is why we did not give the lodge 5 stars....the beds are far too small for adults & we feel this should have been pointed out to us on booking
There was also a main bathroom

There were lockable windows all over the lodge letting in loads of light - there were double doors that opened onto a small terrace/patio with garden furniture.
There were also loads of power points for plugging into electric

The kitchen was well equipped - bedding & towels were also provided - there was also a tea towel & oven gloves as well as cleaning cloths.
There was a small dish washer too with tables ready to clean
There was a dining table which seated 6 with table mats

There were 2 settees and a single chair which were very comfortable
The only small thing & it is small......is that the TV was not big enough

The park had other amenities - a shop, launderette & snack shop

All in all it was a lovely break in a lovely setting - great for relaxation & very quiet

I would not hesitate to recommend this park to anyone........there was even a pub next door

One other thing.....the reception staff are very professional & will answer any questions you may have by emailing the park direct

This was our 3rd year here. The standard of cleanliness in the lodge is impressive as it always has been in the past. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect for many beaches and local towns and attractions. Throughly recommended.

This coffee shop is attached to a Lodge park. This is a real little Gem. The place its self, is really nicely decorated, and very clean and tidy. The food is so good. we only live in Knowle which is about 3 miles from there, and often go on a Saturday during my wife's lunch break. The staff are really nice and friendly to, which makes such a difference. My extended family love going there as well great food that doesn't break the bake, well worth a visit, and you will be hooked.

We have just come back from a week here. This was our second visit. We had a vip lodge with a hot tub. We are a family of 4 my children are 11 and 9.

This site is in a good location to the surrounding area we visited different places everyday like ilfracome etc.

The lodge was clean and tidy and was very comfortable. It is a nice and quiet park. We really enjoyed having the hot tub it was a lovely treat. I'm sure we will come back again soon.

We stayed here with our young family a 5 year old and a 7 year old .

The good things first is that it is a great location, easy to find, quiet and we had a fab view. The take away scones on arrival were a nice touch. Although no checking in till 4pm was a little annoying.

The lodge is perfectly adequate but not luxury as described and not like the photos. A new railing had been fitted around the outside area and everywhere was covered in sawdust and old screws. Which was a bit dangerous with my small kids.

The outside furniture was a bit of a joke . See pics . Also the no the rule no ball games outside was frustrating for the kids .
As so close to the beach we visited it most days and I imagine a lot of people do. But in the lodge there was nothing to dry things (swim suites , towels) outside except a silly flimsy rail.

The beds are really hard which is not everyone's taste. Two of bedrooms had fitted wardrobes which was great for storage .

The sofas were really comfy with 2 and an armchair but tired looking.

The kitchen was well fitted and was chuffed to find a dish washer.

It was a great holiday and as titled feel the lodge needed updating and it was just the little things that let it down.

Hello, thank you for your review. Good to read that overall you enjoyed your stay, but naturally disappointed that a few things marred your enjoyment.

All our lodges are privately owned and individually decorated, so I will speak to the Owner advising them the beds and décor could do with updating and the patio set needs replacing. As for the sawdust etc... I can only apologise and will speak to our Maintenance crew asap.

All our literature, website etc... clearly states that 4pm is our arrival time, however, we do check in earlier if the lodge is ready. Ball games, kite flying and Frisbee throwing isn't allowed outside the lodges, but it is on the large grassy area in the middle of the Park.

If you are planning to visit North Devon again, then we would love to welcome you back to the Park.
