We stayed in Spindrift cottage which was very well equipped and very comfortable. It was also suitable for an elderly parent with walking frame and mobility issues. Jules and Judy were very helpful and provided us with loads of information about the local area. Can recommend the Highland Animal park and Newtonmore Folk Museum. Also The Cross for fine dining and the McInnes house hotel. An added bonus to the cottage was 2 good quality mountain bikes to enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery on . Also table tennis table was available.

We visited the cottage for four nights in November and what a Fantastic visit at Ruthven Steading it was! We stayed in Spindrift Cottage and it did not disappoint! It was a perfectly kept cottage with all of the facilities you could need. The location was also a great starting points for many of the places we wanted to visit. Judy and Jules were great hosts. My partner who last visited when we was 10 said it was exactly the same as it was before. We would definitely come back here! Thank you for a brilliant stay!

We have stayed here several times. The location is amazing, the whole area fascinating - such a range of opportunities to experience the great outdoors for all ages and ability. The cottages provide everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the Highlands. New owners, Judy and Jules are warm, welcoming and helpful hosts - sharing knowledge of the local area. Easy to stock up on provisions in Kingussie - we love this place! Look forward to the next time. Highly recommend :-)

This was our 4th trip back to stay, and our first in Sundowner Cottage having previously stayed in Spindrift.
The cottage is 5* and is a real home from home. Judy and Jules are great hosts. A beautiful location, so relaxing and quiet, great to watch a real variety of birds on the feeders, our favourite was a beautiful woodpecker who was a frequent visitor! Weather was fantastic and we were able to enjoy watching the MilkyWay, shooting stars above us and Northern Lights display on more than one night. Looking forward to returning next year.
