The other reviews really do sum up the experience well.

Initially we found it difficult to navigate the few online searches for accommodation but a quick response and bargain price had us hooked (€45/n)
There is also a bus going there in summer from Tallin each day at 10.30 for €6.50. The German Shepherd 'marta' is friendly on arrival.
Having a car would get you to the tourist places otherwise Ulle (she calls herself the mistress) has bicycles, or Vihulla Manor nearby has them too and we negotiated an overnight price. Ulle used to be a park ranger of sorts and has lots of information.
The map is deceiving... You could get to Krasma easily for a day trip, and there are forest trails which are at Oandu and quite fun. Take the seaside turnoff, the info boards are highly informative.
The beach nearby is rarely visited and the blueberries/strawberries in the forest are plentiful.
The tavern has great food at good prices. Two nights of mains set us back €50. We took our own breakfast, however the spread on offer at the guesthouse is great too.

We spent two nights at the Toomarahva farm in a relatively simple room with a bed for two persons (no cooking facilities). The room was very nicely furnished and we had a small veranda outside. Ülle prepared a very good breakfast and was truly lovely. She gave us very good advice where to find a beach hardly visited by people. We took a bike ride through the forest without meeting anybody, went for a walk on the beaver trail and picked a lot of blueberries.

The place was very quiet and our stay was truly relaxing, we wish we had stayed longer.

The restaurant next door is very original with good food at great prices.

We're so glad we decided to head out to the countryside and stay here in the beautiful Lahemaa National Park. It was only a few hours drive from Tallinn and such a tranquil part of the world. It was very easy to relax and enjoy the fresh air. We went in autumn and loved the colourful leaves and foliage but it would also be magnificent in the other seasons too. At this time of year there was hardly anyone else around - it felt like we had the whole country to ourselves!

Uelle is one of the nicest people we have met on our travels. She is a warm and welcoming host with helpful recommendations. We took Marta, her friendly dog for a walk down to the beach (what a character!) and it was like we had known her for a long time as she stayed with us the whole time (except when she saw a cat).

The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and warm and had everything we needed. The local pub was across the road and there were numerous forest walks within walking distance or a few minutes drive.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and hope we can return one day soon.

We stayed for 2 nights in the hay loft at 5 Euros a night! We were able to use the rustic sauna below us for free - both as a sauna and to wash in warm water. Ulle is a fantastic, interesting, wonderful hostess. The breakfasts were excellent and we hired bikes from her for a couple of days. Do not be afraid of the lovely Alsatian as you enter the property - she's very friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful place. And you can eat extremely well, and cheaply, at the neighbouring restaurant (or sometimes Ulle cooks evening meals, though we didn't experience this unfortunately).

Spent a wonderful few days in March at this rural small holding situated in the Laheema national park in north Estonia. There is a choice of accommodation ranging from the apartment that we rented to the very basic "sleep in the hay" for a nominal fee (not to be recommended in the Estonian winter).

Our apartment was the only accommodation with ensuite facilities. It had recently been refurbished and although basic (simple 2 hobs for cooking), was very nice with a huge wood burner dominating the sitting area. The wood was provided in with the price (€65 euro per night. Dinner €14pn and breakfast €7). The bathroom and walk in shower has fantastic under floor heating.

The small holding is run by Ulle, a really lovely lady who cooked us traditional based evening meal and breakfast each day (optional as you can rent for self catering too). As my wife is vegetarian, we did not sample any meat dishes but Ulle pulled out all the stops to provide really tasty food for our entire stay. Ulle speaks excellent English and even let us follow her by car to guide us to a nearby meeting point for a snow sleigh ride.

The accommodation is ideally situated to explore the national park. It is just a few hundred yards from the sea and there are some lovely walks you can undertake direct from the apartment. When we arrived, Estonia was covered in snow and temperatures ranged from 2 to -12.5 degrees Celsius and the wind chill making it feel substantially colder. Warm layers, gloves and suitable head gear was a must.

The park is a vast beautiful pine forest which looked stunning bedecked in a snow and ice blanket. We are keen amateur wildlife photographers and managed to get deer, fox and elk. But wildlife at this time of the year is pretty scarce here. We did however find some tracks in the snow on one of our walks which on later inspection, look very like those of the Lynx. There are only about 15 of these beautiful cats in the park and we could only have missed it by minutes.

We hired a car from Europecar in Tallinn, an hour away from the park. The roads in and around the capital are very pot-holed and you need to be wary when driving. Once we got to Laheema, the roads were covered in thick sheet ice. We drove on them somewhat nervously slow to begin with but after a day gained confidence to drive at near the speeds the locals were driving. All cars must have winter tyres fitted during certain months in Estionia and the difference they make when driving on ice and snow is incredible, even on the 2x4 vehicle we hired.

This was our first time in Estonia and although much of the geography is very flat, it is very beautiful, especially in Laheema and especially in the winter. Thanks to Ulle and the cosy log cabin like apartment, we felt that we got a real taste of rural Estonian life and left with many warm memories.
