My wife and I were part of about 42 friends who have shared holidays all over the UK and Europe.
Because much of the time my wife has to use a wheelchair we contacted Elaine Holmes,as the spokesperson for the Rutland,to give us the lowdown regarding wheelchairs.
She did not hide a single thing regarding getting into and around the hotel.Yes there is no ramp and yes the lift is small. What all this meant was that we had no surprises when we arrived.
My wife managed the steps in,albeit at a slow pace, and our room was very close to the lift.
The staff were very attentive, the food was first class and the entertainment better than we could have expected.
If you add in the fact that we had our usual driver ED who took us to parts of the I.O.M. that only a very experienced driver would attemt, the whole stay was an absolute joy from start to finish.
I have read reviews regarding mattresses etc.All I can do is be honest and say our room was very clean and the mattress was comfortable.More
