My grandchildren were delighted by the horse drawn trams along the Douglas promenade. They loved finding out the names of the horses. The staff manning the trams were so helpful as I had a baby stroller with me and were lovely, taking the time to speak to my grandchildren . I heard that the council were thinking of closing the horse drawn trams as they were not profitable. I really hope that never happens. If you are in Douglas, take a trip on them and support this nostalgic form of travel.

We took this several times over the weekend. A good way of getting along the promenade, save the walk at the start or end of the day. Horses are well looked after and makes for a different method of travel. Go card valid.

You have to take a horse tram across the promenade at least once. It is a lovely way to soak up the bay of Douglas. These horses are we'll looked after and seem to enjoy there work. After the horses retire they are well looked after, you can actually visit them and enjoy some refreshments in the cafe that's there.

The horse trams are brilliant! The best looked after beasts in the world ! after seeing the vegans saying they were hot and bothered poor things. come on kid ! they were bread for this and are treated handsomely for there work and it never gets hot here! if you know anything about horses they will do absolutely nothing they don't want too. So as far as getting a horse ride is concerned it's a brilliant experience and if the horse says no you are walking, but they love it and get a couple of sugar cubes and a pat and look really happy to me.

Me my mum and brother went in this as we wanted to go into town, it was really awesome, the weather wasn't great that day but still it was totally worth it.
