A nostalgic ride on the fabulous Isle of Man electric railway to visit the Laxey Wheel. The grandchikdren loved it. It has open and an enclosed carriage that takes you on a lovely scenic ride through the Isle .

We took the Laxey to Ramsey tram and it was so beautiful, from the views to the whole experience, enchanting and magical.
Would highly recommend this journey. How lucky are the residents of the isle of man :)

The Manx Electric Railway celebrates 125 years of operation in 2018. It has some original rolling stock, with most of the rest over a 100 years old operating on the lines that they have always operated on. It is an enjoyable ride with extensive sea views on the full run from Douglas to Ramsey which takes 75 minutes over the approx 14 miles.

Great way of getting to the foot of Snaefell. The tram runs from Douglas to Ramsey. Go card is valid. Open and closed vehicles, see how brave you are. Great views of the coastline. Hail like a bus and notify the guard of your destination.

The electric railway had just started to run on the weekend of March 26th, while it was sunny it was cold and chilly on the electric railway. This takes around 2 hours from the terminus at Douglas to Ramsey, very scenic as it runs along the coast for a good amount of the time. It was a bit rickety, but enjoyable when you ignored the cold.
