Description: The era of the 1940s is remembered with great fondness by many. At Lady Scarlett's Tea Parlour in Ventnor, we have recreated that atmosphere through our vintage 1940s themed ambience, based on how life would be in WW2. Families can bring loved ones living with dementia to remember the old days. We promote healthy eating and simple portions, which is all about going back to the basics. We also support Help for Heroes and are available to hire for occasions like birthday parties and other special celebrations. You also get to enjoy a wonderful view of the beach while dining. What are you waiting for? Visit our popular tea parlour today and prepare to be amazed!

A cold November day found us strolling along Ventnor sea front with our old dog, Cheese, in tow. Badly in need of sustenance we were actually looking for a fish & chip shop. Thank goodness we didn’t find one before we came across this brilliant little tea shop!

Bedecked in 40’s memorabilia and with a wonderfully cosy ambiance we were greeted by the most pleasant people you could wish to meet. The food we ordered was cooked to order and was absolutely delicious. Cheese was warmly welcomed and promptly fell asleep to the sound of Bing Crosby coming from an old fashioned radio!

What a gem of a find! Call in for a cuppa and a bite to eat... you will not be disappointed!!!

Many thanks from Sam, Heather and Cheese and we will be seeing you again next summer!

Thank Sam W

Dedication is what this attentive, friendly, beautiful cafe in homage to WW2 is about. Once we found it, it was hard to leave, so much to look at, 40s radio to listen to, warm and helpful staff (Tony is a star) and gorgeous homemade food. Be sure to use the loo before you leave (top tip!). So much hard work has gone in to making this cafe an experience, educational too. Wish we lived nearer, we'd be here all the time.

We had just walked to Bonchurch and back along the coastal path and decided to give Lady Scarletts a try. Really friendly and lots of fresh cakes to chose from. Decided to sit outside as the weather was still quite pleasant. Our tea was served up and as it was in a pot and nice and hot it kept that way until our cakes arrived.
Very nice and we will definitely go back again and recommend to our friends and visitors.

This tea room has a small frontage onto Ventnor esplanade but is well worth watching out for. Looking right out to sea, this WW2 themed café is great fun and offers outstanding food - my freshly made local crab sandwiches and strawberry milkshake were delightful and served by an excellent, friendly, team.
